I’ve lived here 7 years right next to the police station and this PD is a joke. All they do is sit in the church and ball field parking lots talking. Or sit in the car at a utility work site with the lights flashing. They break the speed limit on my street every day going in and out of the Town Hall parking lot. And there are these guys that run around in civilian cars with the Ebay blue lights flashing in the windshield, running red lights and stop signs like jerks. Not sure who these guys are but they think they are cops. The real cops tailgate you when they are behind you as well. I gave 2 stars instead of 1, because when I first moved here I had a car issue at Little Peoples Park and the nosey people that live by the park called the cops. He was a very nice older gentleman but I’m sure he’s retired. The whole government system in this town is corrupt and I can’t wait to move!

Berlin Police are the best officers I have ever come in contact with. I THINK to the STATE OF CONNECTICUT - BERLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT should be an example to show each town and city how and what a A POLICE OFFICER'S DUTIES ARE, AND STILL BEING COMPASSIONATE TO WHOEVER OR WHATEVER THE SITUATION. All the Men and Women and Canine's Officers of the law .They are very caring and compassionate about their job to protect and served as best as they can . They do their best to inform the citizens of up to date information such as latest car break-ins and house break-ins as well as warning folks repeatedly that we don't live in Mayberry on social media . They go far beyond their uniform and help with varieties of charities such as waiting on tables at Central Pizza restaurant . They have wonderful canines who they refer as officers such as the wonderful hard working Titan who is very well known for and loved by us citizens who wish him a happy and well deserved retirement ! This is just a few of examples who the wonderful team of police officers in this Beautiful small town of Berlin Connecticut.
