You can get a copy of your license by logging into your license account. From your license account you will be able to download and print a copy of your current license certificate. If you would like our office to print and mail you another license certificate, visit www.ncbeec.org and navigate to our Forms & Documents page. Just complete and submit a Duplicate License Request form.
Yes. Contact the Board's office to request a copy of an old document.
You can request a license listing report. The fee for the license listing is $50 and the report will be emailed to you. Visit our forms and documents page to find the License Listing Order Form.
Currently we reciprocate with 11 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. You can visit www.ncbeec.org/reciprocity for more information.
To renew your license you'll need to call our office and request a renewal form. We send them out by mail and email but if you didn't get either of these, don't worry! Just give us a call and we can update your information and get you a renewal form.
Unfortunately, we only provide the means for our licensee's to find applicable CE courses. You would have to contact the CE provider or the instructor directly to ask this as we have no control over the course dates and scheduling.
To locate CE courses, visit https://arls-public.ncbeec.org/Public/CEClassSearch. There's also a link to the course search from our website.
We're currently following the 2020 NEC.
Ask for the license number
From what state? NC has reciprocity with a number of states, if you hold an electrical license in one of those states.
To locate CE courses, visit www.ncbeec.org and click the "Find CE Course/Sponsor" link on the homepage. You'll be redirected to our CE course search engine; you'll be able to search by zip code which would probably work best for finding a class in or near your area.
Just call our office at (919) 733-9042 and we can discuss your CE hours and questions.
