I just moved to Charlotte and the lady that helped me (unfortunately I didnt get her name) was fast, efficient and explained what I needed fluently. She was kind and I was in and out in barely 10 minutes.

The delivery person stated my mailbox was full and my package was undeliverable, which was untruthful, I have cluster boxes and my package was a bench. The tracking said I had to come pick it up, which was a huge inconvenience, since I work the same hours as the post office. I had to ask my supervisor for an hour to go get it. I called on the way, and Rhonda was very empathetic and helpful. She said the box will be at the front, and the clerk is aware. I informed her that my navigation says I am pulling up in 2 minutes. When I arrived, the clerk was walking to the back, there was one customer at her window and it was empty otherwise. When she returned, I informed her that I was the lady just on the phone, and can I grab the box and go, she said not until she finished with him (the customer ahead of me) because she needs to scan my box. I said ok, and stood there for 10 minutes while she counted the money in the drawer she had gone to get, and counted the cash the customer had. When it was almost my turn, she asked me if I had my ID, by this time, the line was out the door. I stated that I had been standing there waiting for 10 minutes to get this box, if I go outside to get my ID, I am not waiting on this line. When I returned, the customer that was ahead was finishing, so I walked to the counter with my ID. The clerk made an issue about whether I was next, I said I was and asked if I could get my box, as I should be at work at this time and I need to leave. The clerk then gets rude and said, "I don't care if you have to be at work..." and continues her rant as she goes to the back. The next person to appear is, who I later learned was, Rhonda, asking what going on and if I was next. I explained to Rhonda what happened and had the lady behind me confirm that I was there before her. The other clerk returned, stating I wasn't next, to which I reminded her that she was walking to the back when I came in and only one customer was there. Rhonda said she'd assist me with the scan, and I stated that apparently poor customer service is rampant at this location, which is why I was there in the first place. The clerk said, "Good, don't come here then." I thanked Rhonda for being helpful and professional at her job and the clerk started clapping. Rhonda gave me my box and I was in complete disbelief that any of this is allowed. It's no wonder the rating of this location is a 1 out of 5. Totally unacceptable.

I saw the terrible rating of this place, but didn't think it could be this bad. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Today, a man with glasses repeatedly yelled (past four other customers including the one right in front of him) at me and an older handicapped woman. He repeatedly yelled they were closed three minutes before their marked hours of operation. This extremely kind, handicapped woman opened the door for me when she thought it was mistakingly locked early. While being yelled at, this innocent woman kept saying she wasn't trying to argue with the USPS employee who continued to berate her. I was baffled and felt so uncomfortable I struggled to respond. I told him I was just trying to drop off mail that was sent to residents no longer living at my apartment, and mail out a military personnel's lost wallet I found at the airport (the airline wouldn't take it) and said I was even happy to pay for postage. After he stopped for 5 seconds in what seemed like an attempt to hear what I was trying to do, he cut me off and just kept yelling the same thing over and over "We're closed. We're closed." Again, three minutes before they actually closed. He begrudgingly took the incorrectly addressed mail, while yelling they were closed before they were closed. He couldn't care less about the wallet that belonged to a member of the army. I'm ashamed this is the 'service' provided by the 'United States' Postal Service. I'm genuinely curious how much time it would have taken to mail this wallet versus the time he took to yell at the two of us in the presence of four other people that were unfortunately subjected to this man. Every patron present was visibly uncomfortable. I've never met such a rude, unhelpful and disrespectful individual and am appalled by the way they handled this while on the clock. I've lost all confidence in this location to handle even the most basic of needs.
