Not much too see. Not very good view. Waste effort hiking up.

Very nice parking lot, clean. The path is flat but you will have several steap inclines and some switch backs that are steep. There are some short cuts going from one incle to another which will save in distance traveled. Great view at the tower worth the walk but be prepared for the walk there.

Quick walk to the top. Easy and an amazing view! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are close by on I77. Worth the drive to check it out. Bluestone State Park and Bluestone National Scenic River are also nearby.

The Bowler lookout tower was named after a former state park superintendent Mr Bowler. The trail from the parking lot has been recently paved and is almost wheelchair accessible. there is a small walk through a field and 51 steps to the top of the tower which make it inaccessible to wheelchairs. The view of the mountain ranges and valleys is very spectacular and there is a map at the bottom of the tower that explains what you will be looking at when you reach the top of the tower. I think it would be more helpful to have that same sign at the top of the tower when you're actually observing those objects. This feature of the park is accessible to most folks who are in good health but I would caution against those who have a heart or breathing condition because of the many uphill steps. My wife and our two grandchildren made the trip up there twice because we enjoyed it and felt it was worth that second trip. I have included a 360 spherical picture for those who would like to see the view but don't want to make the hike.
