It had a wonderful playground, picnic tables, pavilion, and walking trail. There is a bathroom and plenty of parking. The GPS was a little confusing. It sent us to the back side of the park. The front enterance is on 64 west across the road from the gas station.

Just a lovely pleasant park. Simple little walking nature trails, a nice play area for the kids, some interesting sculptures, a picnic area and a little garden area.

We heard so much about the 65-foot tree decorated for Christmas, my family was so excited only to be so disappointed. It's a 65-foot tree but it's only got lights. And the tree anit full it looks sickly which is sad. Also we couldn't even …Hi Sheena, it looks like you and your family visited us during the day time. I see where someone else in your family also reviewed our park with the same concerns about the decorations of the tree. At night the park shines and is absolutely breathtaking and magical. We hope you can return in the evening when Village Lights has Cashiers all a glow!

What a gem! We had a picnic, walked the entire park with our lab and enjoyed our peaceful time there. The Cashier's residents are truly blessed and we tourists are grateful that you share this with us.We appreciate the five stars! Thank you for rating The Village Green and have a great day.

Questions & Answers

Is this a park for residents only? We are visiting from out of state and there was a big sign up front that said “residents only.” Had to go all over the place to try and find a kid’s playground.

Nope! If you enter from the side where the gas station is it is more public friendly and that is where the playground is!

Is a fishing license required in the streams around Cashiers

Yes. I would refer you to either the Highland Hiker or Brookings for more information. Many of the streams are designated Mountain Heritage Trout Waters. You may need a special license for those.

Are there picnic areas?

Yes, there are some covered areas with picnic tables and definitely plenty of grass for a picnic blanket.
