Upon unexpectedly adopting a baby Congo African Grey Parrot twenty years ago, we were referred to Dr. Karen Cantor at the Westside Veterinary Center for his initial health screening and follow-up care. Early in his life, our parrot suffered an injury to one of his talons, requiring immediate medical attention. Dr. Cantor’s expertise, and her kind, gentle handling of our precious bird, were reassuring, both to him and to us. Throughout these many years, Dr. Cantor has always responded promptly and patiently to every phone call, offering invaluable guidance and information. The examination is $100 and any additional products/services are extra.
I'm not sure about those two places, but it's less expensive than our previous vet, also on the UWS. The vets are particularly compassionate toward the animals, more than I've seen at other places, and that's worth a lot to me. Dr. Rutherford is at the very top of her game.
