Not organized whatsoever !! Medications runs out. You have to call them for every single thing that’s needed. Have to wonder on some days if someone is gonna come out or not for baths. On top Of dealing with a loved one, this place does not make things any easier. I have spoken with higher authorities along the way. It helped at some point but didn’t last.

Very desorganized, my mom ran out of morphine. No one would pick up the phone. It was a horrible experience to go through this on top of my mom dying. The case manager did not order enough and the doctor on call never signed the prescription. it is now 5:12pm and my moms next dose is at 6:30pm. Needless to say my heart is in my throat.

The only good part about vitas were the aides yvena and angie. They were compasionate and helpful to me in the care of my aunt. The nurses never showed up. I called multiple times for help and day nurse always told me to call night nurses for help. Nurse didnt bring bandages for bed sores until i complained. As my aunt was passing i called and ask for help and the nurse shows up two hours after she passed. Only the night nurses cared. The manager of my aunt team never responded to my complaints. Terrible terrible place if you rely on them to help care for your loved one at home. I did not receive any kind of patient satisfaction survey nor did any one call from vitas after my aunt passed so i had to use google to complain.

I can’t say enough good things about my husband’s team at VITAS. Thank you for the care, dignity, and respect you showed my husband during his last months of life and for the support you gave to me as his caregiver.
