Great place for veterans to get support and a caring ear

Good team i have had good response for my needs. Beats going to bartow or tampa.

So disappointed. The upgrade is not soon enough, and the phlebotomist who drew my blood yesterday has a routine that I witnessed of stabbing rather than calmly drawing the blood. She needs to be retrained. She said I had scar tissue, but she clearly hit a nerve. The pain shot to my hand. It was a horrible experience. I worked in healthcare for 32 years and never saw anything like this. My forearm is still in pain today. It's not worth coming here if you're from out of state. There are too many of us for them to keep up with. I'll go back to Nebraska for 5 star care.

It is a very supportive place for the veteran and the family! They love my service dog, Gepetto❣️

The Lakeland Vet Center provides a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, marriage and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services.
This isn't the VA. It can help with vet related issues. The local VA is a couple miles away.
I don't know if a Lakeland vet center does it directly but they would know who to get in contact for you. May get directed to bartow or tampa.
We do have a VSO from Polk County Veteran Services who works out of the Lakeland Vet Center several days per week, please call their office at 863-534-5220 to schedule with him.
Sorry I have no clue for you!
Yes, you may call 863-834-5220 and make an appointment to speak to the County Service Officer. Please bring DD form 214 or service record.
