Beyond upset with progressive. I have been a customer of theirs for 3 1/2 years and loved them! I've never missed a payment, never had any issues, always been super reasonable with their price as this was my first "being by myself on car insurance and taking those steps. Well, I suddenly moved and have been dealing with a hiccup of residency and it's been nothing but a nightmare to show I live in Florida. Also, I had to cancel my bank account and made sure to make all my automated payments come through my new account and I guess something happened where it never saved or something. I called progressive as my monthly payments are due the first of the month and noticed by December 4th that it never came out. The woman told me it was still linked to my old account but she'd gladly be able to help add my new one. She said once this goes through my payment will go through it and I'll be good to go. Well, today is December 8th and I am getting a $15 fee and found out that my new automated payment to my new account won't go through till January and I have to pay manually. That's fine, but $15?! She never mentioned I was going to be fee'd. Plus, it was an incident where I tried to change it over a month ago and I guess something had happened. They had no remorse to help me out but said it's the Florida law that they can't take this fee off. Unbelievable, I never missed one payment but something happens with the bank that I no longer have had and they can't help me out. After January, I will no longer be with progressive.
