The fee for an Insurance Retail Replacement Appraisal on a Strand of Pearls is $125.00, the inspection and analysis is done "While You Watch". Yes, I can identify your jewelry. Since you seem to have a lot of items, I recommend that we do a Sort and Separate. This will quickly identify pieces which are Costume or relatively low value from those items that warrant a full Appraisal. A Sort and Separate is billed in 15 minute increments, at $60.00 per quarter hour allowing you to control the fee. Posted fees are per piece based upon my estimated amount of time it typically takes to complete each Appraisal.

This is a very difficult question, there is no simple yes or no answer. In many cases the answer is yes, there will be telltale characteristics proving the Diamond is Lab Grown. In other cases, very sophisticated equipment is needed to test the crystal structure and make-up to prove the Lab Grown origin. Please call me to arrange for me to inspect the gem.

It usually takes no more than 30 to 45 minutes in the office to measure, identify and grade a gemstone. It will take me 2 business days to do my research and create the Appraisal Documents. This will include a Comprehensive Description of the Piece of Jewelry and a Comprehensive Description of each of the Components that make it up.
