Was planning on applying for a one bedroom here until i realized they are trying to overcharge by increasing the pet rent and charge all utilities to new tenants. They already want a thousand for rent and with utilities and pet rent i would end up paying $1300 a mo or more. Outrageous, i could rent a brand new apartment for that with utilities included.

Just received, our deposit check for our stay at Georgetown Manor. The deposit return was only $165 of the total $800. This is outrageous because the addendum stated that there would be deductions for any repairs beyond any normal wear and tear but there was almost $600 taken out for painting and carpet cleaning Alone, which is obviously normal wear and tear. I would like an explanation for why this was the resulting fee. I am furious with the management and the maintenance crew. We always paid our rent on time and clean everything before moving out beyond reasonable measure. The new manager of the building did not exercise proper inspection conduct when filing for the reimbursement. His name is Chris Sugrue, he has stolen from us with this return. It is also federal and state law that interest be paid with the deposit return. I see no proper explanation as to why the return was so small. Was just in contact with the management staff to discuss the return of the rest of the deposit and Chris Segrue hung up on me when i tried to dispute him on the return of the deposit. This is the most unprofessional staff i have ever dealt with in any business in my life. absolutely shameful.

Couldn't disagree more with these last few comments. The new manager has cleaned up the building so much. I could barley sleep due to such noisy conditions before. The building has been upgraded so much in the past 2 years. Key card system, new gym and many improvements overall to improve how the building looks. The "maintenance" person you speak of has been the same person the entire 4 years I've lived here. He usually fixes issues next day if not the second you bring in a maintenance request. He's even helped me with my car problems before. The manager is always working on the grounds instead of sitting at the desk doing nothing like most managers do. I have never seen a manger actually work outside in my life let alone help with maintenance. Every time I need to get a package from the office, if he isn't there, a number to reach him is one the door and he comes right away to help you. He will even deliver packages to the door if you wont make office hours. I would say these bad comments are the bad seeds that got kicked out...I love living here. Great location, safe, key card access, 24hr staff on site for emergencies, indoor pool, gym, heck the staff even threw a BBQ for the residents and my entire family was in town and allowed to come for burgers & dogs.

I have lived at this apartment for a little over a year. The management is never in the office and are not on the property when they say they are. They have no respect for any other schedule but their own. I have finally decided to leave but they will not allow me to put in a 30 day notice and they refuse to give out my rental history until I give a 30 day notice. They say that they answer phone calls but from my experience they never do, their 'repair' work is barely more than hitting a cracked window with a rock to fix it.
