Yes they are but be careful near the water edge there are some fairly large gators in there. Hate to see someone lose their dog to a gator

Normally it's good, but I don't know how the lake O discharges have affected this right now. I'd be cautious about any local fishing. Definitely don't eat your catch.
Yes, but get a FL fishing license and check the bag and size limits for each species. You can do both online.
