From outside as you go by there is no way this can be a good place to eat and yet...it is outstanding! The service, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the people, the food, even the speed! All of it hit dead on for us. The lunch portion lasagna was delicious as was the shrimp linguini, even the grilled chicken salad was good and a huge portion. All of us enjoyed the meal. Then the dessert appeared and we all left with smiles on our faces. We will be back for sure. The price was what you would expect for a small Italian restaurant, very reasonable. You will not regret the ride or the time.

Although we've lived in Newport News for over 26 years we had never had the opportunity to visit this great place. I guess that everytime we drove by Mallory Street heading to Buckroe Beach we were in a hurry to get there. Today, we came upon it by coincidence. We were hungry, it was raining and didn't feel like driving all the way home to eat. I was the best idea ever. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot I got good vibes about the ace. Once inside, we were greeted by the hostess and given the choice to pick a big round table for five. Almost immediately, we were approached by the waiter (Esteban) who was exceptionally courteous, friendly, and attentive to our requests, since we had three seniors in our group, myself included. The service was exceptionally professional, from beginning to end and the food was freshly prepared, the pasta perfectly cooked and exquisitely savory with authentic Italian flavors. Pricing was very reasonable and worth paying for the quality food and service we received I'd recommend this family restaurant to friends and relatives, without hesitation.****

We stopped in while traveling through the area. I never like going out on Mother’s Day but this place changed that opinion. We were seated immediately. We had pizza, baked spaghetti and their vodka sunrise pasta. The food was fantastic and we went home with plenty of leftovers. Our waitress was understandably busy but was sweet and a few other people stopped by to offer a refill, clear the table and offer a complementary dessert for Mother’s Day. If we travel through the area again we will definitely stop by.

Our family has loved this restaurant for many years. As a young girl, we would take slices to go & enjoy at nearby Buckroe Beach or for a picnic at beautiful Fort Monroe. The ownership changed hands, but the family atmosphere and recipes keep us returning time after time. We enjoy eating in or take out. Pricey, but who isn't these days. At least they serve large portions.
