I'm a class A trucker . The DMV kiosk does me no good. But for all CMV lisence holders you do not need an appointment. Anyone with a class A license can walk up to DMV and receive help with no problem .

Dmv kiosk is only for people who have paperwork to scan. You can handle any vehicle registration,or tags, but you have to have a paperwork from dmv to scan so you can receive your tags or vehicle registration on the spot of course debit card payment is required. But you do receive the new printed tags or Registration paperwork on the spot. For all real IDs and all real I'd lisences you need to go to DMV with 2 proofs of your residency
