Stop and Shop is in the category of dinosaur - slowly going extinct because they can't adapt. It's the same shopping experience for groceries that your great-grandparents had. Why don't they have an app that tells me exactly what aisle to find something in? Why don't they have an app that suggests what recipe for a new product they have but I've never had before? Pay the extra and go to Whole Foods...order online or enjoy the much better in store atmosphere.

Yes there was a bakery at Stop & Shop.
No, however if you are looking to use the gas program points, there are 2 participating shell stations aproximately 1 mile in either direction from the Stop and Shop on Newtown rd. One is directly off of exit 8 of interstate 84 if thats helpful for you.
