Beautiful place for a walk but too many weeds for fishing.

Wild Acres is a really nice place in Pittsfield, and highly underrated for the area. I will admit that the city needs to take better care of the trails, and the property. With a little bit of extra attention, it could be so much more. Regardless, it is a nice walk in the woods, with views of nature about. One of the main features is a lookout tower, that is a relatively short distance from the trailhead. The tower overlooks a swamp, which is really nice for wildlife viewing. For instance, when my friend and I went the other day we saw a turtle swimming up and down in the water, and heard lots of sounds from the frogs nearby. It is also a great place for those who are looking to walk their dog.
