The staff seems to care for the animals in their charge and seems to know what they're doing. But don't expect a consistent message or even communication from the volunteers. When we filled out our application and were approved, we were told that having a preschooler would not be a problem because he has grown up with cats and he was well-behaved when they let cats out of their kennels. After we were approved, we asked if there were any cats available for adoption. We were told yes and invited to come back to the shelter. When we got there, the volunteer informed us that the cats were not in fact ready, but they should be in about a week. We went back today only for a third volunteer to tell us that the cats would not be ready "for a long time." We left again with our hopes dashed. Also, the two times we went to look at cats after our approval, the volunteers strongly hinted that they would not place a cat with us because we had a young child. If that is the policy, that's fine, but they should be clear about it. It would have saved a lot of wasted time and getting our hopes up.

This is my favorite animal shelter

They care about the animals but didn't have a pet that would meet my needs of being good with other animals and children but they gave me info to help me find one. Haven't followed up yet

I had the displeasure this morning of dealing with a staff member named Debbie, from the start she was nothing but rude and argumentative and acted as if you were bothering her by asking a question. I can’t believe that people like that are allowed to work at a animal shelter, COMPLETELY RUDE!

A lot less than a breeder or from out of state
I'm not sure about a donation box, but they'd really appreciate a check under the door or in the mailbox! They are fantastic, as is our Dory, adopted in early 2018
ID, proof of vet, home.
Contact their Facebook page. They are great people and would probably love to have you.
How do I SURRENDER 2 CATS. I am moving out of town and my cats are:t allowed to come with in. Male grey Tuxedo has been neutered. Female All black card has not been spaded and both cats are inside cats using a little box. would be willing to donate any food and litter that I have left to live to the to the shelter or the person who's in who would like to take my cats. lastly, they are 10 years old brother sister and I've never been a part thank you.
Any vet can help, Dr. William Truesdale on Central Ave in Seekonk, MA is a very good one
Check the Dighton Rehoboth animal hospital on Winthrop Street in Dighton. Not sure what they will charge but they are reasonable. Good luck.
