Golf at its best! Darryl the greenskeeper is a true wizard and the Borough of Fenwick is constantly upgrading the course by expanding tees and other work that is strictly in keeping with the nature and mission statement of this 'links-style' course. Although relatively short, the greens are challenging and very firm. If the wind is blowing (it usually is, being right on the confluence of the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound), it will test every part of your game. If you cant's keep the ball low and play the bump and run game, you won't score. A must play experience, recognized as one of the top nine hole courses in the country. The waiting list for a season ticket hasn't moved in the past few years.

Be careful going here if you have children and want to play the 9 hole course. The sign states that under 14 year olds are allowed after four, however we got rejected from playing and was told that the rule was no children under 14. We went back to read the rules again, and the starter (and another person) came to us while we were rereading and continued to tell us we were wrong, even though the children that were with us had played there before. Not sure what's going on, but clearly ask if you will be allowed on the course. My rating reflects that I believe they aren't following their own rules. We ultimately drove another 12 miles to another course. Just an FYI, this is the rule from their own website, "Children 14 and under are not permitted on the 9‐hole course before 4:00 PM on weekends or holidays June 25th thru Labor Day, and must be accompanied by an adult at all other times." This was after 4, on June 18th.

Just beautiful. A great place for a round or just for a walk. Never disappoints

They had carts about a month ago when I last played a round there but I am not sure if they are currently available.
Hello Larry, We do not have electric carts at this time. Our facility was built so long ago that we do not have the space nor the infrastructure to support them so we have pull carts and gas carts. Thank you for question - Jeffrey Champion, General Manager
Hello Tom, NO tee time is required for the Ryder Course - thanks and we look forward to having you and your grandson come join us!
Most likely
Hello Nick, it isn't likely as we expect it to be too wet but we will make the call day by day. You can always call the Starter Shack at 860-388-2516 and they can help with the most current conditions.
Hello Mary and sorry for the delayed response. There was a planned tournament this past Saturday, the 22nd of August, of which we have several per summer that close the course all day. FYI, we will be closed on Sept 5th and 6th for the same reason. I do apologize for any inconvenience Mary. All the best, Jeffrey Champion - General Manager
Hello Wendy, We are taking tee times between 7:00AM and 7:00PM and asking everyone to make one. We look forward to having you back again! Thanks, Jeffrey Champion - General Manager
Hello Michelle, Mon-Fri it is $20 for 9, $40 for 18. Sat, Sun, and holidays it is $25 for 9, $50 for 18. We are currently cash only and highly recommending tee times as we've been very busy. We look forward to seeing you! Jeffrey Champion - General Manager
