The owner reponded to my daughter Susan that we left for florida and they did not have access to the unit. While we were in florida my son in law who lives five minutes away made several calls to Fox offering to meet them at the house to fix the unit. He was repeatedly told that they needed to fix it when we had five or six days of hot weather in a row. The unit did not operate at all all weekend and the temperature in the house was 78° which was in fact hotter than outside Today. The technician hotwired some circuit board but that was a problem and he will return in an hour to see if the house is cool down. When he left 45 minutes ago the temperature the house was 78 and 45 minutes later it’s down to 77 Mr. Fox does that say the air conditioner is working or not. I have contacted the manufacture of the unitAmana and explained to them what the issue is and I noticed in the warranty section there is a two-year guarantee that they will replace the whole unit. So if the current fix doesn’t work how much time will it take to get another unit, and can warranty service be done by another vendor besides fox. I don’t know if my daughter explained it to you or not but my wife and I both 80° and my wife has a serious long-term illness and living in an 80° house is not exactly conducive To good health. Mr. Fox Is a 1° drop in temperature in 45 minutes indicate that the air conditioner is working. When I was a carrier we certainly would not say so. THE AC IS NOW OPERATING AND WE ARE SATISFIED.TECHNICIAN RAN A SERIES OF TESTS ON MONDAY EVENING THAT CONVINCED ME OF THE OPERATION GOOD COMPETENCE

UPDATE: After many hours- they did come back and finally get it work. I appreciate their help. However- I dont like being called a liar. I am a physician and respect small businesses- I was just frustrated. I dont live near my parents- but they were struggling with the heat all weekend. The system never worked on Friday- and I was surprised it was not checked better. But today they came back at 3 pm- made adjustments and came back an hour later to check on it- that is how business is done. I am beyond disappointed with this company. My elderly parents used them to install a new air conditioning system- that has not worked in months. They know about the problem- for months- but never scheduled repair- but only cane when I begged then Well on Friday they did not fix it and did not check it. When I called today- the person who answered the phone was very rude to me. Temp was over 80 degrees this weekend -and now it is Monday ans they are still not there to repair. The person answering the phone had no empathy- and said “there are only so many hours in the day”. Most heating/cooling companies have emergency service available 24 hours a day. And did I mention we have already paid $1000s of $$$. I hope they will make it right- but at the moment i strongly advise not using this company. The lack of customer service is appalling

I date from the time when the owner was doing much of the work and have found that he was efficient and competent. Apparently, he has hired and trained people who have similar qualities. They came with enough expensive parts and tools in their trucks to repair whatever was wrong with my system. Yes, there is a high hourly rate but I appreciate all that Fox was able to do for me. At 4 PM, one day last week, I discovered water from our hydronic heating system raining down onto our fuel oil tank in the garage/basement . I was able to shut off the water and at my request, Fox sent out a technician who was able to help me be sure that the system would be safe for the night. The technician and I decided that I would rather have the system repaired the next day at $100 + per hour rather than tackle the job right then, on overtime, at twice that rate. The next day Fox sent several technicians who diagnosed and repaired the frozen, ruptured pipe very quickly.

Very poor customer service. Sends out young inexperienced people (the past 6 years or so) who have attempted to steal from my home and became upset when we would not allow them commit environmental damage in our yard. Owner suddenly stopped servicing equipment they sold to us- as soon as the equipment became malfunctioning and without any notice from them. Also a question about preferential treatment based on superficial traits. Would not recommend them anymore.
