Very nice swimming spot!! Can bring floats.. Closed for the season..so no life guards....The water felt very nice!! Nice spot!! You can go sit by the tree line..get a bit of relief from the sun...At the end of the beach area..there is a Nice path to take a stroll down.. Plenty of wildflowers last time I was there!!

Came here today with my favorite 9 year old grandson today. Really the first time here to swim, relax and enjoy watching him. The entrance into the parking lot is what ticked me off. When did this selfishly ran little town decide to charge 2 separate fees for an individual to sit on the sand! $10 to park, and $2 for ‘beach fees’ or something along those lines. In town, out of town, same bs. I have read about the financing behind the improvements here. I have so many fabulous memories of this little beach. Now it’s like so many other little town, USA’s 🇺🇸 beaches, just handled like all other line-items on a spreadsheet. No feelings whatsoever. Wow, how this town has changed in many ways, but still the same in others. What a shame.

Yes, you will need to pay a fee 2 or four in city or out of city residence.
no
Swim at your own risk and yes you can fish but you need a fishing license
There IS a charge to use the beach and dog are NOT allowed. Both provisions are strictly enforced by Smithfield Police.
Beach is not open closed as of July due to cyanobacteria. Not safe for pets or people
Technically no, but it really depends on the staff on duty at the time, how busy the beach is, and how big or obstructive the float is. I've seen some people with floats at times but if it's crowded, don't bother.
yes and yes but you have to have a sticker to park in the lot or will get towed and if you get there before 9 am u dont have to pay to swim if you dont then its $4.00 for non residents and $2.00 for residents and they do offer season passes as well
No dogs allowed
