This is a nice-looking shop with a good selection of various jams, vinegars and oils, but the quality of the products is lacking - at least to my taste buds. I bought two of their 100ml (small sized) olive oils (white truffle- and butter-flavored) and two balsamic vinegars (hickory smoked- and garlic cilantro-flavored) of the same size. I also bought pickled garlic. All five items were underwhelming. I don't mind overpaying for something if the quality is there, but sadly it wasn't. Due to COVID you can no longer taste the products before buying, which would have saved me around $50. The flavors taste artificial and the oil seems to be very low quality with a plastic-y aftertaste. The vinegars were surprisingly weak; I could not detect even a hint of garlic in the garlic cilantro balsamic. Both lacked the sharp, bright flavor of a quality balsamic. I hate to leave a negative review for a shop that probably struggled to stay afloat during COVID, but this was my personal experience. Admittedly I'm picky and a bit snobby when it comes to food and its quality (or lack of). Also, the woman who rang us up (possibly the owner?) wasn't all that friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it's always nice to feel valued when you spend your money in a local business and we just didn't feel the love. Sorry to break the 5-star review run, but as someone who relies heavily on reviews, I feel that balance and honesty is important.
