I had never been to a landfill before going to the New Britain Recycling Center. The staff walked me through where to go and even helped me lift the heavier items. I went 3 times and each time I was treated well by friendly, helpful staff.

Finally getting rid of a bunch of cardboard boxes that'd been stacking and multiplying in my basement over the last year. Simple process for New Britain residents, go to the weigh scale show your ID tell them what you've got. Then you'll get a ticket drive around to the recycle yard and someone will direct you to the appropriate dumpster for you to drop off.

As usual a great experience. All of the workers their are very Friendly and always so Helpful pointing me to where I need to be dumping / sorting and what not. I've been going there for years and years and they make for a quick and easy dumping experience. So yeah, highly recommended.

Yes, but the label has to be readable so they know what they are dealing with. If unreadable it has to be disposed of at a hazardous waste site.
