This is our go to place, especially since we got little ones. We did have a bad encounter with an instructor named Lisa. I also work with the public and how you act and react is a reflection and show to the public who you are and the business or company you are representing. Lisa did not reflect very well. But enough about instructor Lisa. The facility is very easy to maneuver and understand. The employees, well most of them...lol... are very nice. I will add that I did smell the odor of Marijuana coming from an area that is only accessible to employees (control room for a lift half way up hill). Wow I have literally listed some bad things here. All that said.... it is a great place for beginner snowboarders and maybe skiers (not a skier... so). I also forgot to mention, if you have a camper they have camping spots (on the side of the parking lot). Not a great location, but if you just want to camp and ride the powder..... something to consider?

Very professional staff. Enjoyable experience all around. The lesson were informative for our teenager. Price was good and slope conditions were great that day. Would definitely recommend App for a fun time skiing. The equipment was comfortable and functioned well also

App Ski is the best mountain in Western NC! Great staff that is beyond friendly and helpful and will make sure that you get where you need to be. Everyone that works here has great customer service skills and are some of the friendliest people you will meet! The mountain is also one of the best maintained and focused on ensuring you have a good trip by trying to not make snow during hours unless they need to or it is a slow day. The owners are well known for their kindness and run what I would consider to be hands down one of the best businesses I’ve ever supported.

Fun place to ski. I think it's a really good place for beginners since it isn't all that big. The beginner slope had a bunch of people sitting in the snow and it's hard to maneuver around them when just starting out. The lessons are really helpful though. The best time to go is right when they open at 8 since it gets crowded around 1130 on Saturdays. I didn't go after 5pm so maybe it's not as bad then either.

Yes to both. In fact you can purchase when you reserve tickets.
While no downhill ski resorts in the USA allow dogs on the slopes during operational hours, many are dog-friendly before and after the lifts open. Appalachian Ski Mtn. policy does not allow animals on ski terrain or ski lifts. The use of service animals on ski lifts and ski terrain conflicts with Appalachian Ski Mtn.'s safety requirements necessary for the reasonably safe operation of on-slope activities.

We've got some cold nights coming, so the snowmakers will be busy this week.
If it is cold enough.
Possible...all depends on mother nature bringing in cold weather.
The online reservations platform will be up sometime this month.
I think March 28; you can't schedule anything after that for tickets.
It was like 130 a person per day for everything. Clothes lift and skis
No they provide its amazing !!!!! You will have a blast
when I received the card, I asked the same question because I wanted to apply it towards my next ski lift ticket. I was told to bring it in and enter it at the kiosk there.
It's not cheap.Not Thursday
December through March
I don't know. I think so, because there's a place separate from the restaurant but close to it where groups can have lunch they brought.
There is a deck on upper floor, restaurant and indoor viewing area on bottom floor, so definitely a yes. Also skating if you want
Also check Airbnb, they have the snowbird chalet, a cabin literally next to the resort ( we walked to the resort) https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/27956554?s=51 It's a bit pricey but absolutely worth it. The nights are amazing, big rooms and can easily accommodate more than 6 people.
Last I saw it could take up to ten days but I have not ordered a season pass in years so it may have changed.
I did mine via arbnb. Worked like a charm.
Really? Yea they will make snow in July if the temperature is below 32°
No
There's a small lounge and store dowsntairs and a restaurant upstairs. They won't have a ton of stuff to do inside but they will be warm and have a place to charge if needed
Same as the rest of the season unless u have a students i.d.
No
Yes. And there are other ski lodges. Near by...like seven devils...
There is snow everyday. They create their own snow, so it is always there
Correct, only skiing and ice skating activities provided....
Never mind
