I was walking within hours of my TKR surgery; I was discharged the next morning. PT came to my home, I had surgery on Monday by Friday I walked a mile without a cane or Walker. The lateral approach is the only type of TKR surgery to have.

What is a compression hip replacement
Dr. Nguyen accepts patients who have Medicare. Patient can have both knee done at once but depends on the health condition of the patient

I am 4 weeks post-op w/ Dr. Nguyen. Side incision on right knee. Comparing my recovery with non-side ops I seem to be ahead. Office personnel were also great w/ arranging all my post op care and PT. Off walker or cane after 2 days. Off narcotic pain meds after 5 days and driving after a week. Not hiking yet but hopefully soon!
That is correct. Recovery and rehab are much easier and quicker
Had my knee done at 72. Rehab is so important. 2 years later and it is doing great. Ride my bike and walk a lot. Tell her good luck. Frank
