Although they have really low prices. And the food is of good quality. The store is most of the time dirty and poorly stocked. And the staff is non-existent. Except for the cashier who is very ignorant and always in a hurry.

One of the best held secrets to buying your groceries at wholesale prices, even though it's mostly gourmet flavor. Aldi has been around for a few decades now and even here in Hanover. The store is a bit rundown and the decor is old. But hey, who's here to look at the old walls or crummy tile floors, amirite? The supplies are usually stocked well, but not always full. The one in York seems a bit better stocked, but it probably has twice the clientele. The staff is a bit friendlier here over others we've visited, but still fast-paced with few niceties. Get in, get out, save a bunch doing it. That's Aldi for you. But where else are you gonna buy Oreo lookalikes for under $2? Yeah, I didn't think so. Enjoy!

So- the reason I hardly come here is because when you only have about 6 items, and there is never more than 1 register open, and you are behind 3 customers with carts full..its frustrating. I was there 1 week ago, and again behind 4 people with full carts. An employee was coming from office, and I stopped her and asked if they ever open registers to serve customers who only have a few items. She looked at my 5 items in hand, looked at the line of people at the only open register, and rudely said "only when we need too" and walked away. This is why I dont really shop there. How about an express lane? Geez...geat produce though.
