The Treasure of SWFL! When you want to learn about environmental education, see some amazing native wildlife or experience a full-dome planetarium show, this is the place to go. The membership includes being able to come back again and again AND stroll through the woods during the Holiday Lights event in December.

Great place to spend a day. Plenty to see and hear (nature talks) in and out of doors.

A unique place with unique animals and a nice planetarium. I was able to hold a baby crocodile! 💜

Very educational experience for the whole family! We got to touch a snake here when the lady was explaining everything about it😊 the area of the planetarium was amazing!🤩 It's a small place with great and educational adventures!

Yes I agree
There is also a brown banded that should be here as well (could be only in Tennessee area) but it rattled its tail with no actual rattler to mimic a rattlesnake
It is a large dome theater where they show neat movies about space, planets and related topics. Charlie who does the shows is super nice! We attend every week (we are members) and my kids love it!
Very good...about 100%.
Yes. Start early to beat the heat if going to walk the trails.
Cost is $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child (3-12 years old). Parking is free.
Service dogs are allowed but because there is captive wildlife on property, pets are not allowed.
For what?
Adults $10 | Children $5 | Members FREE
There is a discount for purchasing in advance but this is the big fundraiser for the year so no other discounts offered.
Well folks that horrible heat as you call it, is home to those precious animals. The ac is for our comfort. Most wild animals are not comfortable because it is not their natural environment. Hence the outside demonstrations.
Yes, I believe it is $10 for the whole day for adults, take in mind the money goes to help the animals and make repairs the lack of money they make it's a miracle they're able to stay open. If you enjoy nature it's worth it. I think it's a great way to bring back peace in your life when having a stressful week or longer.
I defer David condoluci. It has been years since I have been there.
I believe they do sell merchandise over there or at least they used seen them at the desk
Great show. Very large dome theatre where they play movies about the Solar System, weather events, etc. Fun and very educational. We love to go regularly!
Visit Calusa, the attendant at the front desk can give you an application.
A great place for a star show or a laser light show.
Adults $10 | Children $5 | Members FREE
2 trails, 2 miles and yes you should pay the nonprofit. No guide.
They have the laser shows every 3 months in 2017 -2018, so Mar, Jun, Sep, Dec. Check their website or Facebook page and you'll see when they are planning the next one.
I would ask the center by phone if dogs allowed on trails, as there are children who visit. Might depend on breed if yes? Not certain but beat to call 😊
I suggest you call. The day I went it was crowded and I don't recall any seeing any pets.
They have animal shows, planetarium shows and more. Best to give em a ring or check the website.
