The Treasure of SWFL! When you want to learn about environmental education, see some amazing native wildlife or experience a full-dome planetarium show, this is the place to go. The membership includes being able to come back again and again AND stroll through the woods during the Holiday Lights event in December.

Yes I agree

I found a super feisty baby snake in my yard. I'm not sure what it is, but the way it rattles it's tail makes me feel uneasy, can I donate this snake to the Nature Center? I promise it is very cute.

There is also a brown banded that should be here as well (could be only in Tennessee area) but it rattled its tail with no actual rattler to mimic a rattlesnake

susan millican | Sep 18, 2020
Kalie Aaowynn | Sep 18, 2020

Well folks that horrible heat as you call it, is home to those precious animals. The ac is for our comfort. Most wild animals are not comfortable because it is not their natural environment. Hence the outside demonstrations.

Does it cost money?

Chris Crosby | Sep 19, 2019
Matthew Knight | Sep 19, 2019

Yes, I believe it is $10 for the whole day for adults, take in mind the money goes to help the animals and make repairs the lack of money they make it's a miracle they're able to stay open. If you enjoy nature it's worth it. I think it's a great way to bring back peace in your life when having a stressful week or longer.
