You get what u pay for!!! May 6, 2022 Not every apt is in good condition. Some r in very bad condition & some good. Jury still out on new management. New security is worse than ever. Remodel is slow & extremely dusty & always have workers in & out of your apt. They give keys to construction people. They enter your apt without permission. They start projects & don't finish until several weeks later. They cut holes in walls & in kitchen ceiling above stove. They disturb asbestos ceiling & tell residents not to. If u don't let them in they will write u up that u r in non compliance. No a/c on lobby level. New washers don't get laundry clean & u never know if they will work! Lobby floors & lobby bathrooms r not kept clean. Dust balls under lobby chairs. Always have to request place to be cleaned. Knats & bugs r a constant. Rat by recyclables. ============= Jan 18, 2022 Yes they did sell, closeing on property aug 31,2021. Turned into Hud housing with new management. 30% of ur income, not so bad. Still waiting for all the promises. Jury still out on new management. ============================ Sure I loved it until problems were not being taken care of until it blew up in management face. Currently residents of St.Andrews have been put up in a hotel/motel because of electrical, mold, plumbing problems at St. Andrews. We have been in hotel since June 15, 2020. As of Aug. 3, 2020 SPM management & St. Andrews sent a memo to residents informing us that they could not assure us there would be any funds after Aug. 14, 2020. Yes they have been working on it, but we should have been told to look for housing 2 months ago when this problem occurred. Not at the last minute, they tell us no more funds. We are all seniors in this bldg. on Social Security & limited income. Some of the residents are very old, some disabled, some get life support medical care, in wheel chairs. A lot dont have family to take them in or familys dont want to. We are looking at being homeless after the Aug. 14,2020 since Management has not provided us with an alternate solution. Think twice before moving into such an old building, that probably has bandaids on it. Today I went down to City Hall to try and get to the truth of the situation as we are not getting straight answers. City Hall Building Dept. said 2 or 3 permits & approvals on the electrical system but it is not completely approved. From June 16 to Sept 2 lived at hotel. Ok, they ended up paying the whole bill, after mayor & congresswoman were called. We were reimbursed our rent for the whole time. They gave all residents $100 gift card to Publix supermarket. Fridge holds more than that which had to be thrown out. Back to a hotel Sept 29 for 2 days more. They turned power off to work on permanent electric. So was food compromised again. Now there are rumors that the buildings St james & St Andrews will be sold. And we seniors will be homeless once again. Rest assured says the Bishop of Episcopal Church, we will not sell & seniors will not be put out.

Absolutely disgusting building that is full of asbestos and causing health issues to the residents from all the renovations they are doing. They did not make repairs as agreed to with the residents for their units prior to the onset of renovations, even things for which the residents were charged. I find it absolutely mortifying that the owners of the building think it acceptable to make our elderly vulnerable to all the health issues they are at this time. I was assisting a friend and based on what I saw I would never allow anyone I know to live there - someone needs to do something about it.

ONCE AGAIN I REPEAT WHAT I SAID IN THE PAST REVIEW !!! Disregard all the haters. The place is under new management (Related) and every single unit including the lobby is all under renovation presently. My 1 bedroom is beautiful !!! No matter how they improve the buildings the haters will continue to hate !!! If you hate that much move out !! WE THE LOVERS DON'T WANT YOU HERE !!! PERIOD END OF STORY !!!

It is 30% of your income. But u have to contact the housing authority of Palm Beach County. I believe the correct office is on Georgia ave. WPB. Call them to find out if the list is open so u can fill out application. Sooner the better. There will be a waiting list. How long depends on how many people r on it.

Please tell me what number I am on the list?

I don't know. Call Joe - the General Manager at St. Andrews Res. There is usually a 2 yr. Wait Time to get in now. The list is always long. I just live here. Always a long wait. Always filled. Never a vacant room. It's worth the wait. Location is the best for convenience and location. I've been here for 6 yrs and I would never leave. Management is wonderful to us. Just takes forever for an opening.
