Absolutely frustrating to wake up excited about taking a class to then be turned away for being two minutes late--which by the way is within policy. Are y'all just out to make money by incurring fees from guests who don't use your studio regularly? I'm in the area for work and have been so excited after finding out there was an Orange Theory nearby. I've taken two classes here now and Renee is an excellent coach -- engaged and so enthusiastic. Five stars for her classes. Unfortunately, it is management that brings this location down. I signed up for a Lift class this morning at 11:15am. I was so happy to find out they had AM lift classes as my home studio mainly has PM lift classes that don't typically work with my schedule. I arrived to the plaza early but struggled to find parking. I arrived at the studio door at 11:16am. I'm at the cubby and look over at the work out clock, which just hit 2 minutes. The lady at the front desk who happens to be the studio manager stops me and lets me know I won't be able to take this class as they have a strict late policy for Lift classes for "safety" reasons, as I am missing the warm up period. I haven't missed even half the warm up yet as those go on for 5-6 minutes and lift classes always start out steady. She explained that I must be there exactly on the dot, claims they are completely transparent about it and that this is the same policy consistent with all other locations. I have been to several other studios across the US and have never had any issues if within the 5 minute grace. I have not seen this posted anywhere and when asked if she has this policy written anywhere or if it's on the app, she said no, not that she knows of. I'm confused, if it is so transparent, when and how does one receive the information? I'm new to this studio and this was the first Lift class I signed up for. Nobody gave me this information prior to signing up for the class and as far as I know, and what I've signed with my home studio, the late policy has always been a 5-minute grace period before the class is considered cancelled and incurs a fee. When I asked if this would be charged, she said yes. When it comes to customer service, she could have at least attempted to resolve it, knowing it was my first lift class in this studio by either allowing me to take this one class or at the minimum, waiving the charge. She wasn't interested in helping me and that leads me to believe you don't really care for my safety or my well-being, Kelly. You just want my money. Business is business, I guess.
