Campers, be forewarned about Hannah Park in Jacksonville, FL (Mayport). We are locals and have loved camping there for years. Over the past two, we have watched a steady decline in the overall clientele; some that have become long term Camp Hosts which really just means they're just full time residents now (one has a site littered with trash). My mother & her friend decided to come up from central FL for two weeks. I brought some things to them last Sunday & was absolutely shocked at the current state of the campground roads! They were deteriorating last year, so this year's rain is NOT an excuse. I followed another RV'er in & watched several low hanging tree branches strike their roof. The trees are NOT being tended to. My mother said the bathrooms are so bad that many campers avoided them. So today, their kayak was stolen from the water's bank even though they were within sight of it. It was taken by a group of miscreants (under 20) who had apparently been causing problems in the campground. Police were called & advised my mother it was now the "THIRD" time police were called because of the same group! Yet, Hannah did NOT make any effort to evict them- WHY!?!? The kayak was indeed found being hidden by the group mentioned & was recovered. However, it's no longer safe for them to stay for fear of repercussion & they have returned home. AGAIN, and even after today, the suspect group was NOT told to leave! Anyway, this is a well founded alert & warning to others that Hannah is no longer the clean, well maintained & welcoming campground that it was. It DRASTICALLY needs new management & an overhaul. I posted this in a FL Camper forum yesterday & the feedback is FULL of negative experiences validating the issues being discussed. It's a wonderfully located campground with much to offer, but no longer without risk of a ruined trip. I'll be alerting city officials to its disarray as well.

Parked my RV here - very nice park with beach access . Hike over to " The Poles" and search for shark teeth on the beach.

Yes it's open! And the price is included as well as the ocean beaches within a 5 min walk from the campground. The splash park isn't amazing but it's on a playground so it will keep the kids busy!
There is no pool. Swimming in the ocean. Not the lake.
I'm pretty sure all the RV sites do. There's some of the tent sites of course they don't.
They do not allow pets in the cabins. They do allow two small pets at the camp sites.
- Tent -$20.30...plus tax.. no weekly specials at Hanna
Yes
No, it is a freshwater lake and there is some good fishing. Catfish, crappie, and bass.
There's 3 bathhouses in the campground and a laundry facility. You can only reserve a campsite for 29 days but you can request extension to stay longer by asking a park manager for certain reason like going to the Mayo Clinic or a construction contractor
Yea they will be able to tell you just give em a call
If you don't mind boating with alligators. They are prevalent.
Only 2 washers and 2 dryers (very hot) and $2.25 each I believe. Quarters available at the store. They were working fine last week.
Go to their website, it is a City Park. https://www.coj.net/departments/parks,-recreation-and-community-services/recreation-and-community-programming/kathryn-abbey-hanna-park.aspx
Scooters are allowed!
Absolutely, they have RV camping for your overnight visits (check site for availability and to make reservations). For day tripping, most of the parking lots have double/pull through spots; however, are very tight parking lots as a whole so you'd be better off parking across spots in the emptier lots like Lot 6, the gate rangers are always helpful and accommodating as well so I'd ask them on entry.
Per the site Tent camping = $20.29 per day, including tax RV camping = 33.81 per day, including tax Cozy cabins = 33.81 per day, including tax (Two night minimum stay required.)
21-30 per night
Cabins are not equipped with bathrooms. Could sleep 4 people comfortably, but make sure before you book. Believe there's a limit to occupancy.
Totally dog friendly everywhere, including on the beach and trails. On leash.
I know that all charges are daily and you have to move sites after 2 weeks. You can make reservations online. They have a great interactive reservation system.
Yes. On a leash. Trails and beach ok too.
The phone ahead (sometimes way ahead) worked for me. Check out COJ.org/hanna Park
I believe Flamingo lake RV park does.
I'm not sure we only did a day trip but we do plan on camping there soon we had a really good time everything was very nice
Alcohol is not permitted within the park
Hanna Park is a public park, you pay for entrance and camping is allowed at a cost
Do RV sites offer electric and water
Rv sites are big enough for 16ft tent the tent spots are smaller
You can only rent cabin's for 3 days tops and they are not furnished in about the size of a shed
Yes they are. Just bring extra bags cause the trash cans are only at the entrances.
I would never take the chance. You can make reservations online. They even have pictures of the sites to help with your choice.
- Tent -$20.30 - RV - $33.84 including tax - Cabin - $33.84 per day, including two-day minimum stay
