My husband was admitted to FutureCare Chesapeake on August 18, 2022 because of a stroke he suffered. We could not be happier with his care which, though not perfect, is superior to what we experienced in a prior skilled nursing facility. For the most part, the staff is attentive and responsive. The PT director, Social Workers, Nursing Director, and other management staff I have spoken with are very professional and provide me with very thorough status and care plan for my husband. There are some wonderful nurse aids like Tracy Hampton who are caring and provide amazing care to keep my husband clean & comfortable - they go out of their way to do so. The facility is really great and there’s an atmosphere of happiness by staff and residents. I feel welcomed anytime and, even though having to go to a place with a lot of older and sick people is depressing, I enjoy visiting my husband throughout the day.

I've been to many elder care and assisted living facilities. This one is very good...the employees are upbeat, friendly, and manage to juggle alot of patients with competing needs. I like that patients are given flexibility to move about rather than be stuck in their bed or room...this is especially helpful for stroke patients. Tracy and Zonia are wonderful care providers. Tracy is especially amazing....high energy and constantly tending to patient needs. She never stops moving and genuinely cares. Compared to other facilities, I would give this one 4.5 out of 5 (after many visits). There is always room for improvement for any facility of this nature, but overall, a decent facility.

Resident centered home away from home with staff who truly care for each individual resident. Building is always clean and management responsive friendly and willing to go above and beyond. Quality of life is paramount

Beef stew
My husband was in Future Care several times. I had no problems. The last time he had to stay. He health deteroriated they were all caring. I never saw them once mistreat a patient. Sometimes it gets overwhelming and you may have to wait. My husband passed away in the home. I was called when I arrived I was treated with the up most care. My husband was clean and looked like he was asleep. Their care and sympathy was above reproach. They are hard working employees. My husband was on sseveral nursing homes. Future Care was the best
What are the visiting hours for a spouse to come and visit or can a spouse stay the night if they would luke to?
