Firstly i can NEVER get ahold of someone at the nursing home, they don’t answer the phones or when they do they hang up or cant hear you so they hang up, then you have to call back and hope they answer even though they just had. When having my grandmother admitted they basically told us “oh well she doesnt make enough and doesn’t qualify for long term care” and told us we could be arrested for elder abandonment when we told them we could not take care of her at home anymore?! they made admission SO much harder than needed. When there is an issue with my grandma I have to notify EVERYONE before something is done about it. The last time i visited her she had a health concern and i told someone, they turned and asked the desk nurse if she was the on call nurse and and the desk nurse rudely replied “no im not. their off the unit” her response itself was not the issue, it was her tone and attitude and the sheer look of annoyance on her face as if how dare she bother me with something. The PT team for my grandma is ridiculous they only do PT half the times, she was doing really well and had some mobility back then they just abruptly stopped her PT. A few weeks ago they started her back on PT again? Not to mention shes had several falls during her placement here?? how does someone let an elderly person fall when there supposed to be under supervision? they serve them slop for food. some of the nurses are wonderful and very helpful but ive had more bad encounters than good with nurses there

How are general pharmaceutical needs addressed? Is there an in-house pharmacy or access to a pharmacist?

Sterling Care Bel Air | Sep 18, 2021
Sterling Care Bel Air | Feb 20, 2022

There is access to a supply of medication for first dosing at the center that is available while new medication orders are communicated with the off-site pharmacy. Recurring prescriptions are filled by the off-site pharmacy for residents. Consultant pharmacists review each resident's medication list on admission and monthly thereafter to monitor each resident’s individual medication regimen and make recommendations to the physician.
