AARP uses our fellowship hall to offer income tax preparation assistance each spring. You need to contact AARP directly to make an appointment. Their days and hours of operation vary each year, so contact the church when it is "that time again."
We focus on collecting donations for local agencies that help homeless adults and poor children. We also donate to these agencies that offer assistance to recent immigrants: Lutheran Immigration & Refugees Services (an agency supported by our entire denomination) and Lutheran Services of Florida (an agency with programs throughout the state). If you are looking for a church in Lakeland whose members speak Spanish, our brothers and sisters in Christ who belong to Iglesia Oasis de Esperanza (which worships in our fellowship hall) are wonderful.
