I paid the amount the lady said when I called the first time. Then I get a letter for failure to pay the next month. Talked to the rude lady and she said it was the interest. Asked to speak to a supervisor and she said nobody could change the amount. I just stopped trying. Terrible!

I received a letter from the IRS saying that we had a refund that had not been cashed; we needed to CALL the IRS to have a check sent for the refund. I called the number on the letter and was hung up on every time I called because of the "high volume of calls; please call back on the next business day" even though it was 8:30 am! Once I did manage to get in line for a representative (with a warning that the wait was 60 minutes) I sat on line for one hour and 15 minutes before I finally hung up. Could not call our local office so now I have to get in my car and go to the office. No IRS services available. Disrespectful of citizens. Glad I have a car to get over to the office!

Yes the IRS office will help you. But you need to make an appointment. It takes a while because there is not enough workers. But once you have your appointment. Bring everything thet ask you. And make sure you go to your appointment.

If you talking bout after you file, the tax pose just closed on 4/15 so give it a couple weeks (they say wait 21 days)then check your status with ss#, exact dollar amount an filing status its.gov
