As far as Cracker Barrel's go, this is one of the better ones for lunch. Dinner can sometimes be a challenge when the crowds are there. The food is always good. The service is usually good but like any place you can get a server who is not as attentive as you need. Simple things like not making sure your drink is refilled. Not checking on the table from time to time. I get it. They get busy and there's a lot to do but you have to stay on top of your customers needs.

Went to Cracker Barrel tonight and Newport News as I have done many times before . Had my glass of tea and some biscuits with apple butter while I wait for my food which was really good. Unfortunately when they brought my plate out it was just absolutely disgusting. But I think the worst part was I asked to speak to a manager. Showed her the plate and ask her to take it off of my bill please she just took the plate Took it and said nothing took it off my bill never come to the table Or anything.I understand very clearly that people can be tired And have worked a lot due to this pandemic but this was just totally unacceptable won’t be going back anytime soon seems like cracker Barrel has really lowered its standards . I still Gave the waiter a $10 tip not his fault people in the back kitchen plating the food should be ashamed as well as a manager!!!!!!!!

I've been to cracker barrel and had an amazing meal and clean dishes and a nice server. None of that was the case at this location. Our dishes were dirty, the server did not know what he was doing, and our meals were not the best. We had to ask for to-go silverware because they were literal chunks of food on our silverware and the plates for the bread they gave us. Our server was writing our order down and still forgot things we ordered. So we left without them 🤷🏻‍♀️ not worth explaining that many times and waiting for it to be cooked and then paying $5 for such a small portion, especially if it's not worth it at this location.

I’m so disappointed! Love all the breakfasts but this time ordered Turkey dinners to go at 4:10pm. Turned out it was still considered lunch so my containers only had small portion ofTurkey, dressing and sweet potato - that’s it. No green …
