Regarding the faculty orthodontic practice, time and care with the clinician is fine, this review is about dealing with the insurance and staff side, don't bother with UNC! It has been over a year since my son got his braces and we still haven't received insurance compensation. First UNC gave us inaccurate information to submit, it took over 3 months to get the accurate information with emails and calls not returned, only to find out UNC hasn't updated their address with the insurance carrier. It was told to me by the Patient Business Services they would accomplish that task, it has now been over a month and the record still isn't updated. For $6k dollars, this is incredibly poor customer service. I regret taking my son to the UNC Faculty practice. UNC just does not care about customer service. Seek out a private practice instead!!

Just wow! I can't get anyone on the phone. left a message, but no response for a call back. Why is it so hard for people to answer the phone! I message my PCP that i need a referral for my semi-annual dentist appointment because i am due for my checkup. I called several times and nobody response. I keep leaving a voicemail and nobody call me back the next business day. Meanwhile, i have a State Health insurance that take money off my paycheck every pay period for dental. I message back my PCP and she said its takes a while for these people to get referrals to schedule an appointment and it is THE ONLY Dental care in UNC hospital in Chapel hill. Like literally, How long does it take for these people to setup my appointment and i have been waiting two months already for this call to come in. That's Unusual to say that. which i do NOT believe it. I was due for my semi-annual checkup in November. Its January now and these people still haven't call me back to setup an appointment. So UNPROFESSIONAL. I am sooooo!!! disappointed in the same company that i work with that provides a care for me as well, and nobody wouldn't give me any call to set up an appointment to get my teeth cleanup. I guess its time for me to switch facilities with a different provider, because this is ridiculous.!!!
