Been there several times. This is the first time i ran into someone at the deli who was cranky. No biggie, but makes me glad they're usually friendly. (Edit: I appreciate Safeway reaching out, but it's honestly not a big deal. It's a decent enough store, everybody has a bad day, most of the time they're very friendly, don't want to get anyone in trouble. )

I stopped in after work to pick up a few things and had the pleasure of having Sandy for a cashier. She is an absolute delight. She greeted me with a smile and was very friendly and efficient. I'm in the customer service business and know how hard it can be to find people who take pride in what they do and as a result provide a GREAT customer service experience like the one I had today. Thank you Sandy for putting a smile on my face.

Today I had exceptionally bad experience from two separate departments. Both at pharmacy and regular check-out. Negative stars would be more appropriate. Pharmacy: I basically inconvenienced the pharmacist to ask him what throat numbing agent was best for after tonsillectomy. I almost felt bad interrupting his no person line and empty store to ask my simple question. Then during checkout I had to use the self checkout which I dislike since I know they are not cleaning those machines between customers. Also if I wanted to be a checker.. I'd work at Safeway or another type store. On my way out a robust looking woman says "have a wonderful day". I replied that I thought it was odd they didn't actually staff a register. Which she got all bent out of shape about and indicated the empty register with the light on for sure, but no body at the register. As I'm walking away rubbing by pounding temple from this interaction and duo ear aches due to my surgery. I hear her call across the store "same to you!" I'm thinking what is she talking about now. Then I realize she thinks I'm degenerate enough to be flipping her off. So she was telling me to F-off. Nice customer service Safeway. Thought you should know the caliber you have representing you.

Good store to shop at with a good selection of items. The staff were nice and everything was clean. COVID Safe Practices are being followed.
