I found a dog on a very hot summer day and dropped her off here in hopes of finding a microchip. Staff were responsive and friendly. I had to show them ID in addition to signing paperwork. We did find the owner and they were reunited. There is a 72 hr holding period should anyone want to adopt a newly rescued stray. The parking lot is limited in spaces, however WA has many animals and the staff are doing great considering the capacity of animals they help. They also offer many services like veterinarian care for pets at discounted prices. Thank you Auburn Humane Society for loving the lost and stray animals of our community.

I went to donate some pet carriers and it was about three minutes before closing. Staff was incredibly kind. All smiles and laughs while waiting for me to unload my car.

We had to take our 13 year old cat to get euthanized and the staff was so respectful and caring for the situation. It was the most difficult thing my family has had to decide on since (Tyre or cats name) was rapidly losing weight and needed more surgery to remove her lower teeth. It broke my heart but, I couldn't watch her suffer any more..

The staff are very polite and sweet and even though we selected a cat that was on adoption hold, they made sure to call as soon as she was able to be adopted. They had a tablet for any and all questions. Please, adopt an animal

There is a animal shelter in auburn. Also call them directly to get the size requirements. That would be most helpful for you. And I'm sure they are very appreciative that you do that for the animals. 💕
My pup is 4 months and less than 10lbs is 95 to neuter him. My 2 cats spay and shots was 224.00. Both done with the SPOT program
Minimum work age is 16. If you are under the age of 18, you might be asked to provide proof that you are able to work outside of school.
Hi Cynthia. You can all the Auburn Valley Humane Society place but we use Sumner Veterniary Hospital which they are open 24 hrs when we needed to get something done for our puppy. Try there because the pet stores for us were a lot more expensive then they were that's why we've been using the one in Sumner. If you don't have a lot of money they work with you too which is a plus. I think it depends on weight and size dog but call I could be wrong. Good luck 👍
Technically no, you aren't allowed to just play with them. If you want to adopt one, however, you can in a meet and greet room. Or if you want to volunteer by walking dogs or cleaning the cat rooms. Don't worry, the animals get plenty of socialization through the volunteers. If you just want to play with animals, I suggest going to a cat cafe, dog park, etc :)
it is 16, under and you need a parent to volunteer with you.
They accept any food or animal supplies you can offer, crates are really helpful in foster care while they wait for homes
Check with the AVHS thift store specifically. My guess would be no, but they do take donated dog and cat beds
Contact the shelter through their website or phone number for a faster reply. I'm not sure they check here. I hope those dogs get found.
I would say yes. You have to at Seattle Humane. A questionnaire about your experience with fury companions, etc. Orientation. Prove who you are.
I found a couple strays over the years & brought them in to Humane Society so they could find owner or place for adoption, it didn't cost me anything
We don’t accept bedding or sheets. We don’t accept children’s strollers, pillows, car seats or booster seats. We love fleece blankets. Hope that helps!
Yes there is.
No. They are by appointment only as of right now, due to covid.
No I wouldn't
They have a web page but as for me personally I have two rescues
I don't know I am not the humane society just have been there, call them! Why not list them on buy nothing group as looking to rehome with nice picture!
Call human society! I have never had to make such a call, but how horrible to witness such cruelty of such gentle loyal animals, this breaks my heart
Call them, they will help you.
I would give them a call. They're always looking for good adaptors
I do believe it's $60
If you go to the website and look under the "get involved" tab it has information.
You should look at their website.
Pretty sure it's 16 to volunteer without a parent, but 18 to have direct contact with the animals.
I'm pretty sure you don't need an appointment. Do you have no one who can take the cat for a few months until you can save up a pet deposit?
When I was there a Mom and her sons came in to see about volunteering. I got the impression that the boys were going to be able to spend time helping to clean cages...walking dogs and the like. Definitely call them and get details.
Sometimes just phone the office for an update on the current adoptable pets
Go to the website. Auburnvalleyhs.org
No
They have vets on site, but only for lost/rescued animals. Unless you qualify for their low income pet care. They do not pick up animals, Auburn Animal Control handles that.
Ok thank you very much
Yeah yes they do! And so does Saint Vincent de Paul which according to the map is closer to you
I have not see any in the time I have been volunteering. You should check the website, they update it frequently.
Their always looking for volunteers; exception is you must fill out an application at the humane society store, have orientation, then only then I'm sure you can help out. They might let you maybe under circumstances but I wouldnt hold my breath.😉🙂
Depends on what breeds they have ready for adoption, Check back periodically for what your looking for.....😉
My dear, I wish I knew,😥their are some vet clinics that are low cost and work with people in case.🙂
Drop. By. They have plenty of cats, the web page doesn't work on some many levels. So frustrated
Contact Puget Sound WildCare, PAWS, or Featherhaven depending on your location, the shelter does not do wildlife.
Only rarely. I got my bird from there, but that was not an ordinary occurance.
They have a S.P.O.T. program so it depends on if you qualify for that or not. If you do then it is a lot cheaper than anywhere else.
They do not. If you have found wild baby squirrels, call your nearest wildlife rehabilitation center.
They usually do but you should call them and ask so you can get the most updated information.
You'll need to check with the office
Probably need to be 18 to volunteer
The types of dogs available can change daily. The beat way to see what is available is to look on sites like Petfinder, or drop by and see the dogs.
