As so many of our friends have seen previously, the Animal Hospital of Soquel provides unacceptably low quality of treatment. The old ownership was wonderful, but the new corporate owners clearly do not care about animals. We took our Aussie in to treat one of Santa Cruz's plentiful foxtails and they just didn't treat the foxtail - so it got infected - and then they tried to make us wait weeks to get it removed. When they finally did do the removal, they had to cut a massive gash into our dog's leg to get to it. My dog was in pain for weeks because they failed to treat the foxtail we identified. We're moving vets now, but in classic form the Animal Hospital of Soquel won't even respond to requests to get our veterinary medical records back. I filed a formal complaint for malpractice with the Veterinary Board of California and I strongly recommend anyone else who has had a pet suffer at the hands of this corporate stooge of a vet to do the same. There are many lovely better vets in the county, any of which would likely do a better job that this joke of a vet. Stay away.

My cat was to have a simple dental. They did a unauthorized surgery on her mouth. I was treated with disrespect by the front desk staff and no one informed me . I got her home she was suffering, screaming in pain. They refused to reexam her, left us sitting in lobby for an hour then told me to go home! Refused to have the vet see us and still refusing pain meds.i took her to another hospital who had to fix the damage in another surgery. Throughout this the front desk staff was rude, nasty and unprofessional.

Wonderful. Forever grateful for the kind and caring team there. They got us in the same day we called and made sure we were able to get our babes prescription refill the next week. At the end of the day. With rush hour traffic. We had braced ourselves for the typical astronomical fee and were stunned when it was quite the opposite. We have already recommended them to several of our friends.
