I've been going here for 4 years and love it. The acupuncturists are caring and attentive. You can sleep uninterrupted. I feel cared for when I go. Thank you CA!

I came to my session with intense lower back pain and moderate upper back pain that affect my stride range and contribute to refered hip pain. I have had this pain since about 2005 and also suffer from extreme stiffness. I was looking for some relief but also not expecting any miracles. I met with Elise Rivers who took the time to listen to me without judgement. The space was calming, quiet, clean, simple, and beautiful. She performed a Washa technique in addition to acupuncture points along my back, hips and glutes. After she did the Washa technique and placed the needles I was left to relax. During that time I literally traveled to another space in time where my pain did not exist, where my thoughts stopped, where I felt whole again. It is difficult to describe. When I was gently brought back to the moment I took another 10 minutes to gather myself. I left the clinic and walked to my friend's home where I am staying during my visit to Philly. During my 15 minute walk back I realized all the colors were more vibrant, everything seemed to have slowed down, my strides were so effortless that I realized how much effort I normally have to put into getting my legs to move because I am normally so stiff. I had some difficulty making sense of how different everything seemed . I decided to take a nap. I haven't slept that deeply and soundly without any groggy after effect since before my children were born about 17 years ago. It has now been 3 days since my treatment. I still feel relief from my chronic pain and have enjoyed several walks with more range of movement in my legs from the hip area and less pain in my lower back .I have an appointment for this coming week. If you have chronic pain or chronic stiffnesss I highly recommend that you consider this alternative method as part of your treatment protocol.

Maybe the most beautiful building in Mount Airy, and amazing healing acupuncturists and myofascial release massage

Questions & Answers

Do you accept Aetna insurance?

Elise Rivers | Sep 17, 2020

Hi Margie, we do not take insurance for acupuncture, though our nutritionist takes most insurance for consultations relating to nutrition/dietary counseling. As a result of acupuncture rarely being covered, our services are priced affordably for acupuncture, ranging from $30-$55/visit. We could not keep our prices this low if we were to carry the administrative overhead of insurance. Thanks for asking!

I had a stroke seven years ago. Since then I have experienced clawing ot my toes and limited movement of my right hand. Is accupunture a viable treatment for me?
