Would highly recommend NHance for kitchen cabinet painting. From start to finish, the process was straightforward and professional and pricing was competitive. Mekensey was more than supportive in deciding on colors and Said was super efficient in prep set up, painting and final touch ups. Love my lighter and brighter kitchen. Thanks NHance!

Hello Robert- unfortunately we only do wood refinishing. Please let us know If we can help you with your project! Nhance
Yes, we do offer grain fill as an additional option for refinishing if requested. Even without the addition of grain fill, our polyurethane acrylic base covers grain far better than other products such as paint from the store.
Yes! We can paint, stain or keep it the same color with our Classic Refinishing! Exterior projects can only be completed during certain times of the year (Spring/Summer) due to weather and product adhesion.
Absolutely! We are happy to provide a “two tone” look with stain/opaque or even two opaque colors! Your options are endless!
We suggest having your hardwood floors refinished prior to the cabinets. This way, if any damage were to occur to the toe kicks or cabinets themselves while the floor is being sanded, we will be able to address any nicks or dings during our cabinet refinishing process.
Yes! We are happy to spray a free sample door for you in the color and finish sheen you choose.
Yes, in our process, we can refinish all styles of cabinetry, frameless or framed.
No, we require all new trim be installed prior to our arrival so that everything can be sprayed evenly as one cohesive unit. This is especially relevant to new doors; the doors need to be installed to confirm the hinge will work properly
No, all of the products we use are water based and safe. You are welcome to be in the home the entire time we are working.
No, we do not do any heavy sanding or stripping down to raw wood with our proprietary process. We would, although, be able to stain your current cabinetry a darker stain color or offer you an opaque (painted) option.
We would have you come into our showroom to look at our N-Hance stain color options. After choosing a color and depth of color, we would have you bring us one of your doors for us to spray you a free sample, helping to confirm the color choice prior to the job start date.
No, all of our products are water based polyurethane and low VOC, meaning you can be in the home the entire time we are working/spraying.
We have a 2 step cleaning process. First, we scrub the boxes/doors with a heavy degreaser followed by a surface prep solution. We then do a light scuff sand by hand to remove some of the old finish before applying color.
No, this is not true with our proprietary process. Since we use our polyurethane acrylic (not paint from the store) and apply the color with a fine finish spray gun (not brushes/rollers) after a deep cleaning and light sanding, we are able to transform your open grain oak cabinetry with no issue. Though the grooves of the original grain are still slightly visible, it is covered consistently with a smooth finish.
No, our polyurethane acrylic is applied with a fine finish spray gun, you will not be left with brush marks or roller marks but rather a silky and smooth surface.
To help with the decision making process, we suggest purchasing sample cups of paint and painting large pieces of cardboard to tack up in the kitchen, allowing you to view them on a large scale in different lighting (morning/evening etc.). Once you’ve narrowed down your favorite, we will spray a FREE sample for you on one of your doors in the color and finish sheen you choose!
No, we only refinish existing wood cabinetry. If you were to get new doors and have them installed, we would be happy to spray them for you with the color of your choice.
Mckenna, We use a water-based polyurethane with a 5 year warranty. We never use a lacquer due to the fact it has less elasticity and is prone to yellowing over time.
Ryelynn, unfortunately no...With stained cabinets the only option is to go darker as we do not sand down to the raw wood in our process.
No, we will not be filling pre-existing holes. Due to the transparency of stain, filled holes can be unsightly. If you have specific area of concern, please inquire for more details.
Yes, we do ask that you empty your cabinets and drawers completely for the best overall outcome.
Yes, during the process, we clean, sanitize, seal and polish the granite. Our process removes dirt, oils, grime and hard water that tend to make your counters dull over time. We also sanitize the surface to remove an average of 98.4% of bacteria from your granite counter. Our solutions are non-toxic, so you can be sure your family is safe.
No, our standard procedure does not include repairing this type of wood damage. Minor scratches and imperfections will be addressed.
We suggest placing the appliance onto a moving blanket in order to push/pull the appliance across your newly refinished floors to avoid scratches, dings or other damage.
Yes, we will make the seams as invisible as possible to the best of our abilities using either wood filler, extra paint or caulking depending on the size and location of the seam.
No, unfortunately we are not equipped to convert exterior mounted hinges to interior, or vice-versa. If you do plan to convert your hinges we ask that they be completed prior to our arrival.
The Lightspeed UV cure is an anti-microbial finish that cures instantly, meaning you will be able to walk on your floors the moment the project is complete. The Lightspeed UV cure is the hardest finish on the market, it will also reduce bacteria growth on your floors surface by 99% and is effective on harmful bacteria such as E-Coli, keeping you and your family safe.
Our sanding machines are equipped with a vacuum that cleans as we go. There will only be a minimal amount of dust during the process.
No Allyson, we spray your cabinet frames, side panels and the fronts and backs of the doors and drawers.
We have contracts at The Home Depot and Sherwin Williams, which means you can pick any color from their paint lines and we will use their tinter in our proprietary polyurethane acrylic to match your choice.
Allyson, it's important that we understand the scope of work, type of process you would like done, as well as your expectations before we can offer any sort of pricing. Please gives us a call at 208-392-1717 and we can schedule a free in-home estimate.
No, you will not have access to any appliances or the sink in the kitchen for the first two 2 days. Please make sure to grab any medicine, a water glass, dishes to eat on, food in the refrigerator, any items from the pantry and anything you might need while not being able to utilize the area for two 2 days.
Our callback rate is very minimal but our 5 year warranty does cover any chipping, cracking or peeling due to product failure. Your warranty does not cover deterioration due to chemicals used on cabinets or overall improper care. The technician will leave you post care instructions and cleaner before departing.
A typical cabinet refinishing project takes up to 5 days. Day 1: We drill holes for hardware (if needed), take down doors and drawer fronts, mask cabinet boxes/framing, clean, sand and possibly spray color on the boxes. If you are getting new holes drilled for knobs or pulls, hardware must be available and removed from the packages day 1 when we arrive. Day 2: We will finish applying color, spray 2 coats of polyurethane finish and partially tear down masking. Day 3 & 4: We are at the shop working on your doors (cleaning, sanding, applying color and finish). Day 5: We will finish tearing down masking, install the doors and drawer fronts and do any necessary touch ups to ensure you are 100% satisfied. We will then request final approval and collect the balance.
Hello! Unfortunately we don’t have products that we can sell to the consumer. All of our products are commercial grade and must be sprayed on by one of our trained technicians. I’m sorry for the inconvenience!
No, the only portion sprayed on site, in the home, are the boxes and frame work of the cabinetry. Doors and drawer fronts are brought back to our shop to be cleaned, sanded and sprayed in a controlled environment for optimum quality.
Yes, we can apply our polyurethane acrylic over stained wood surfaces. However, painted surfaces cannot be stripped in order to be stained.
Yes! We can refinish wood front doors, mantles, built-ins, banisters and more!
To get onto the schedule, we require a deposit to solidify your spot and the remaining balance is due upon completion.
We ask that we be the last portion of your kitchen/bathroom remodel. Counter installation is a much more destructive process, to avoid any damage to your freshly refinished cabinets, we suggest that countertops are completed first. We also suggest asking your counter installation company to not apply silicone caulk where the counter meets the cabinet. Since nothing will adhere to silicone caulking, we will apply a paintable caulk when we arrive. This allows us to get a nice, clean line of color all the way to the top.
Yes, we do offer knot filling for opaque color changes, our standard knot fill process includes filling knots on the front of the door only, if you would like them filled on the back as well, there is an additional cost.
Yes we do. We offer glazing, antiquing, distressing and hazing. We have examples available of each in our showroom.
Yes, the service you're asking about is our Classic Renewal. We perform a deep clean, followed by a light hand sanding as needed. We then mix a custom stain to match the current color of your cabinets and apply it by and to the affected areas. To complement the process we apply a water-based polyurethane clear finish for protection. This service comes with our 5 yr warranty. You can learn more about it here: https://www.nhance.com/treasurevalley/service/basic-cabinet-refinishing/
Ventilation is created through the closest window or door, when available. Please be sure to make the closest window/door accessible by moving obstructing items in the work area (furniture, plants, etc.) to another room. In addition, we ask that you please cover any patio furniture or other items outside that are in the path of the ventilated dust, to avoid potential residue accumulation. An air scrubber is used to filter the air when a ventilation source is not available.
Yes. We do require that all new hardware be purchased prior to our arrival. If we are drilling/installing new hardware on your drawers, it is important that the screw length supplied with the new hardware is measured and confirmed to be long enough.
