I know prices have gone up in Sacramento California but you charge someone $170 for a $90 unit charge a $30 reservation fee even when they walk in and rent a unit. I think that’s outrageous you guys or gals running this storage are ripping people off. People can’t afford to rent from you you’re too expensive drop your prices And smile . people have to have a second job just to pay your rent that’s disgusting. Thank you. For your time. JJS

Moving to the area and need storage? DO NOT PUT YOUR STUFF HERE. Don’t make the mistake I did. Here’s why there are MUCH better places to store your items in the direct vicinity: (GO TO EXTRA SPACE STORAGE. I spent an entire week moving all my stuff purely to a new storage company just to avoid paying Sentry Storage another cent.) No pro-rate. Need a couple extra days but not the whole month? Tough luck. Pay the full month loser and deal with it. No free first or second month. Want to store here? Pay up. Extra Space Storage does first or second month free depending on the unit. Short units. The units at Extra Space Storage are at LEAST 4 ft taller. I downsized my 10x10 and my 10x30 units at Sentry into a single 10x20 unit at Extra Space Storage. All made possible by the added height. Refusal of entry to a paid unit. Do you have two storage spaces? Are you a little behind and can only afford one? No worries, you can pay one off and sell something to help pay off the second storage right? I mean, they send you TWO SEPARATE bills with TWO SEPARATE prices. You have TWO SEPARATE storage spaces. Pretty simple logic. NOPE. Even if you pay off one of the storage units, they will absolutely refuse to let you into that unit. They are worried you’ll clear out the paid unit and abandon the other unpaid unit, which makes no logical sense. They would rather you abandon both units than get money for one. Also they will put a second lock on your units if unpaid, therefore making it impossible to get to unpaid items. So there is no logical reasoning why you can’t pay one unit, and sell stuff from it to help pay the other. They just want your stuff and want to make extra money selling it. Sentry Storage is a predatory company. “It’s in the contract” and they hope you don’t read it. Extra Space storage will work with you, not prey on you. Dirty and old, and orange. Such a dirty filthy location. Also the gates you will have to fight with to get the locks to slide and better be decently strong because those gates do not lift easy. Both hands will be required. Extra Space Storage I can lift with a single pinky finger and is super clean. Extra Space Storage also has green doors that don’t make it hard to look at like the insanely terrible orange that is everywhere are Sentry. Day 1 the moving company that helped me was harassed by the manager and yelled at. Day 1. They can ride around on their little carts in between watching YouTube videos and yell at hard working people, but apparently can’t pick up empty cardboard boxes that sit in the aisles all day. 10-day notice of leaving. They require you to notify them 10 days before you want to end your contract. This is so they can maximize profits and pre-sell your space. Storage space clear 5 days before rent is due? Oh well. Wasn’t 10 days. Terrible code machines. They are not tactile feedback, they are touch based. Half the time the sun bakes them and they either don’t work well or burn your fingers. Also it is IMPOSSIBLE to exit without leaving your vehicle. You must get out of your car to punch in the code. The placement of the exit code machine is…not the most brilliant let’s just say. Manager who thinks he knows everything. He will be sure to tell you how he’s worked there 28 years and every storage company is the same. Well he’s lying. Extra Space Storage literally half a mile down the same street does everything better in every single way. Also the manager there, Tanya, is an absolute sweetheart. You won’t find that kind of service at Sentry. The only reason Sentry Storage is getting 2 stars and not 1 is because they’re a storage company and I did indeed store my stuff there. So it did the job. But everything else, and I mean everything, was abysmal. Never again.

I’ve rented a unit from them before and they are pretty lenient on paying on time. The customer service is very good! I can’t think of a bad thing to say about them!!
