Came here yesterday to pay for registration on a 2020 gmc sierra. They made me go get it smogged prior to paying. Registration is already over $1,000 and when I get to the window, an asian lady tells me that I also need to show proof I paid for Heavy Duty Tax on it. Which is around $500 usually. Its called a schedule 2290, a tax for trucks over 55,000 lbs. I tried explaining that its a pickup, not a semi truck. Turns out this specific dmv hires incompetent people. Went to Rocklin DMV the next day and showed them a slip where Roseville asked for a 2290 and the employee showed all her other coworkers and laughed about it. They were able to get the registration payed right away, and even took off the late fee since I was in the day before

The vastness overwhelmed me and the service couldn't be friendlier or most competent. Thank you

Been there for endorsement for double triple on my CDL and lady helping me doesn’t know how that work and asked 10 other employees to do that simple endorsement
Just 4U
Very rude and disrespectful , disgusting employee, not all the employees but white guy one who has a full around beard, black hat and glasses on . I don’t know his name but his ugly mug is very disrespectful. Doesn’t have any information about his own job , treating others with disrespect. if you have an acsent or broken English please don’t walk to him ,, most of the employees are very nice and very respectful , don’t take me wrong most of this DMV employees are way too awesome and does their job greatly. Aug 30/ 22 he was seated at window 14 at around 4:22 . If his manager read this review please educate him before someone sue your location. One star is only for him ,, The rest of the employees are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Use Google Maps to find the DMV, then click "More Information" near the bottom of the screen. They have the phone number and website listed.
Go to the DMV to get a moving permit for the vehicle
Not at this time. Use your brain and check out the DMV website for when you will be able to do so.
You register your vehicle with the state of California not the county. As long as its registered with CA you're good. And they do have a vending machine for getting your tags immediately
12 feb.18
No they don't
5pm
They take walk Ins but you can "get in line" on the dmv site you will get your ticket number then leave your house and there is little wait time. It will show you that you are "24" in line and show you the count down so you can gauge the time line.
Yes it sure is..... From my understanding all DMV's are open Monday - Saturday 8am - 5pm . Ive never been there in person to confirm this but this is what is information I learned while kickin it there during weekdays. Have fun!
Dmv.ca.gov has a bunch of info. Get the app from there or your doctor.
Depends. The website DMV.ca.gov charges $2, but it's an unofficial one. If you go into the office it's $5.
You need to go to DMV first, and they will give you temporary permit for driving.
I did submit a complain once. I asked for the manager and explained to her my concerns, she said I should give it in writing to her. I did what she wanted, she supported me the way I could never expect. So go there, ask for manager, give your details including test date and time, the manager can simply find from the records the person's name
You should be able to walk right in & ask for one. However, it may be available to download on line.
DMV usually asks for your telephone# and they texted you your assigned #
Yes, but you will have to wait some time for your number to be called
I just went in. It wasn't a bad wait
I mean for permit. When do they expire ?
Come in and pay the late fee
Depends on when you got your license. Upload the dmv handbook for free online. Chances are you'll only have 25 questions. Good luck!
Usually it takes 2 weeks to get it.
You can make an appointment when you fill out your REAL ID application online, but you don't need to make an appointment you can just walk in.
No. Monday through Friday only.
You still need a doctor to fill out the forms.... I was in a motorcycle accident and have all kinds of pins and bars out of my legs and they sent me to the doctor
Yes absolutely but you must make sure you have everything you need or you won't even get pass the entrance door lol .
Yes
It depends on if it's a Real ID license or a regular one. If it's a regular one you just need to fill out the paperwork, but a Real ID License involves much more.
You can also check the DMV website. If you decide to go there you can get in line prior to getting there by clicking the "Get in Line" button.
Not sure you even need to do anything, since they expire on their own. I would check the DMV website, but I assume they will want a copy of the death certificate, social security card, and confirmation of her address, like they do with other things.
Very very bad place i never ever seen in my life like this bad 👎 place 0 costumer service and very rude and disrespectful people work in this facility
Go there early in morning, 8 am, short wait they will take you in,
You will need to go online and login to DMV account. You can look at all the records you have sent in electronically. Worst case you will need to go in and submit it in person.
Government offices are typically closed on weekends.
Ir al dmv
No, but you have to go to their site to fill up the form and bring it to them filled.
No you have to go stand in line, it's my understanding no appointments
Yes
Just go there but I preferred Rocklin dmv more fast and easy
2 forms of proof of identity ie: social security card and certified copy of birth certificate. 2 forms of proof of residency ie: valid passport, electric bill with your name and address, or any government document ie: health insurance card. After you complete online application and dmv accepts uploaded documents. $37.00
Yes it is, just have the paperwork ready. They'll direct you from out front.
Yes call first if it's not successful make an appointment online or go there to ask personally. Bring your plates, registration, etc, check if in case there's fee so you are prepared just in case they can take care of it. God bless!
You can not make appointments yet but you can drop off paperwork to get a new title and or pay fees also if you go online you can apply for an id and if you upload all your documents you can go in but be warned that the appointments that are rescheduled are taking priority over that type of transaction
Yes. If the documents are ready to go.
DMV should automatically extend your license. Or, if you don't have the real id driver's license yet, then you can go online to submit documents then go to one of the offices open show them your appointment number on your phone and you'll get a new license.
Not received yet.
I would go check but you need an appointment and they are not giving out appointments so ur kinda in a pickle
I took my daughter there for a written test yesterday 5/28. It wasn't crowded. I think you can just drop in to do that. Good luck, stay safe and stay healthy!
Only for appointments
Yes. 8am-5pm.
$37 for non-commercial. $36 was the 2019 price. Went up a buck.
You can come in for a handicap placard, card or plate with or without an appointment.
No....Need to make an appointment.
You need to take the written drivers test and then when you pass that take a drivers exam with a licensed dmv drivers examiner. If you pass that youll get your temp drivers license then and receive your official license in the mail. Good luck!
It seems like they move the location of the kiosk sometimes. Last i went it was outside by the main entrance. But it seems a lot of people see it inside.
Legally they actually can't MAKE you. But they might ask if you want to.
He will likely need to renew his permit before the test. Call DMV to confirm.
Vin verification? Yes. Preferably before 4:30pm.
For what and on which day?
Yes. You always have to take the written test regardless of age
Take the boat and trailer paperwork to DMV for transfer. Go on line to DMV.ca.gov to get more information.
Yes
There is automated machine at this location. Im not sure to what extent it can be used but id imagine anything that could be submitted online could also be done on it.
Since its fully expired you may have to reapply for it. But you can definitely apply or renew a real id at this location
Appointment is best. Expect it to be at least a week after you call. As Toney said bring all your documents. They must be originals from the county of issue original social security card. Proof of name change if married. And don't forget 2 separate forms of proof of residence. You'll have everything you need for a license and a real ID.
Its a standard dmv office. Anything you can do at a dmv you can do here. As for applying for extent for your vehicle. I suggest you call the dmv and ask them directly since that is a question for them and not about the location.
Dmv accept walk ins too You don't have to make appointment
Any time that the DMV is open. But it is good to make an appointment
All DMV offices allow walk ins. Roseville DMV also offers Saturday hours.
Yes. The information desk can help with that and scedual an appointment.
Yes only if. You got a notice that you only have to pay.
https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/fo/offices/fieldoffice?number=543 It is 0800-1700
So if I ordered something off of amazon and have something mailed to be , can that prove my residency?
No you can't ,the system is not gonna let you!! until you have a receipt for your smog check.
To renew an i.d you would have to go in to the actual DMV.
No

Sorry, you can get a sticker from the kiosk when you renew a registration. Replacement stickers are not available at this time.
You would not be able to renew a driver's license at the kiosk. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
No. State and federal holiday.
Sorry, not at the kiosk. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
Only on some Saturdays and certain locations. Check the website
You should call them... or cancle online... this is for asking questions most of the time people here dont work for them
Commercial license are issued at the West Sacramento dmv. Off Harbor way.
Only debit I believe
They should be. It's not a holiday yet. Might be alot of people scheduled off and slow service. (Slower then normal)
Your question is not clear. Do you mean, how can you get your 2020 sticker?
I'd go online and make appointment. More directions online.
There is a seperate line. Normally only 1 or 2 people in it.
You would need to go in person, have an ID with you and show ownership of the vehicle you are claiming.
An adult can take another written test immediately. A minor must wait at least 8 days. Three tests per application. Third fail requires another application.
They aren't open today because it's a holiday weekend. Check their website for the hours. Dmv.ca.gov and then go to office finder
Go to section book an appointment, it also show view appointment link, just give ur name and phone
I paid with cash, but I believe you can pay with check, credit, or debit as well.
12:00 to be safe. I took the written in April and was in anf out in 40 min.
Ssi card, birth certificate, 2nd form of id, passport, proof of residency. Lots of patiences
You own the plates and can have them assigned to your new vehicle.
If you have had a license before and have actual proof of it then no. Only the computer exam.
Pay for a non-op fee by the due date. It's only $21. That will take care of the registration until you're ready to operate it again.
They will call until they are out of numbers
The placards are issued for the same period of time when permanent. The replacement year is next year. You're fine. Don't need to do anything.
Yes
No
Sorry, not at the kiosk. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
As far as I know they are closed.
Yeah it does. Its right inside the front doors.
I don't have an answer you, CA DMV should have a website that can answer your questions
I'm honestly not certain, but I would imagine at 9:00am
No but its highly recommend, it could mean the difference between getting done within 30 minutes or getting done within an hour or two
appointment line
No. But if you don't register it as a non-operational vehicle, then you have to pay the full registration. You can register as non-operational, then later pay the registration.
I heard in the Roseville they take the writing test without appointment is that true
You may be able to. You'll probably have to arrive early before they get bzy. Be prepared to wait a bit, but it may pay off. ~ 😎
That's a question for the CHP, not the DMV.
This location takes Debit at the counter, Debit or Credit if using the kiosk in the lobby to pay your registration.
