KAISER MENTAL HEALTH IS TRASH. The people there don't really care about you and it's expensive as hell. I went there for my first appointment and within 5 minutes the person i talked to just set up an appointment with a psychiatrist to put me on medication, asked me to do a group therapy thing, and showed me to the door. I went and did a few more appointments and the therapist person just kept on pushing me to do the group therapy despite have told her (several times) that i have no interest in doing them. She wouldn't listen to me when i tried to explain to her what the problems i was actually dealing with and just shoved everything i said aside. It's a giant waste of time and money. DONT GO TO KAISER FOR MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT.

Kaiser is evil. They made me really sick and caused serious suffering.

Kaiser is the worst place to get psychiatric services. They treat your terribly and you can't get services when you need them. Don't go here. If you have serious mental health conditions, they won't help.

The therapists themselves are kind but the system and people on the phone have been no help and make my mental health worse. You ask for an appointment or switch of care and they never give updates or anything. And when you call back months later they say you never put in the request. The therapists also are not very good at diagnosing or looking for coping skills.

The new number is (916) 973-5300. It's a centralized call center that handles their appointments, etc. Best of luck, Samantha!

Last year I know they had quite a few groups that one could sign up for. I don't remember this type of group, specifically; however, I went to some stress management groups and it helped a lot. Good luck!
