Best Western Plus Galleria Inn & Suites

Arriving at this humble hotel, I was gifted with a Suite upgrade given my membership card. An older property being updated, traces of the original hotel still peek through such as the plaid sofabed in the suite, but also the firehose pressure shower and large outdoor pool. The staff were great and I had four nights of very sound sleep. One oddity: Every room has a window... looking out into the hallway. I haven't seen that before. Something else I haven't seen before was the automatic pancake maker! They also have a toast conveyor, so no standing by for ten minutes waiting for someone else's toast to finish before you can start your own.

Positive: The desk and breakfast staff were incredibly nice and the free breakfast was one of the best. I usually skip free breakfasts, but this one was worth stopping for. The pool and other amenities were exactly what you would expect for this caliber hotel. Negative: Unfortunately the cleaning staff was truly rude. Could have gotten over that, but the deal breaker on me booking again is that someone broke the back door on the first night of our stay - and it remained open for the entirety of our stay. Unacceptable

Our room door did not close our room had mold and peeling wall paper and hand prints on the headboard of the bed I was there with my husband and our two yr old when we talked to someone last night we were told they were booked and couldn't do anything to talk to someone in the morning. When I talked to them this morning she told me I was lying and that they just had someone fix that door and mold was not possible when I showed her pictures she took care of other customers I'm so upset and will never stay there again

Sadly, this hotel was VERY old! The room smelled horrible ( mix of stale cigarette smoke & musty)! Pretty sure the carpet is original and holds smells. 😞 The fridge had a nasty smell. We paid WAY too much for what we got. ( $225.00 CDN).
