I've never had a phone call with the Meehans, but I have written to them, received their price list, and ordered straight from them. I was turned onto them when I bought a tester of their Bay Rum cologne in Half Moon Bay. Extremely nice! I also purchased a bottle of their Uplands cologne and the soap, too. If ever you wish to experience and savor the wonderful aroma of the Northern California coastal flora from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay, that will take you right there. The Lodge bar of soap has the distinct aroma of a spruce pine that floods the shower with Christmas fragrance. My brother-in-law, who has a Xmas tree farm in West Virginia, loves the stuff! I do wish Meehan would make a cologne or aftershave to match. I like the oils that they produce, too, although I'm hard put to find any where I live. The soap itself is plain soap. Nothing complicated about it, and it's pricy, too. It's worth every penny for the quality and the rarity of the fragrance that you get. Treat yourself!

I have used Bonny Doon Farm products going on 20 years now. In fact, I just opened a tin that I bought years ago - a Rosemary Gardner's Salve -- and it smells as good as when I bought it way back when. Our house is full of Bonny Doon Farm products that we use and love because the quality is outstanding and long lasting.

I just got off the phone with some lady at your business, and felt compelled to share my experience. I’ve mentioned that I am a repeat customer early in my call, and tried to strike up a light conversation saying “I remember you used to offer a few more sizes for your lavender soap.” The lady on the other end snapped at me saying “HOW MANY DIFFERENT SIZES YOU WANT? WE’RE A SMALL FARM!” That’s roughly 45 seconds into the call and completely killed my interest in replenishing my nearly-empty 128oz lavender soap. I would expect better service attitude from Walmart associates these days, let alone some farm selling $165 soap. I first heard about you in 2011 from staying at the Post Ranch Inn, but sadly you don’t live up to today’s service standards. As much as I’ve enjoyed your products, no more Bonny Doon soap for me & my family.
