Great place.

Fantastic library. Giant rooms with tall ceilings. Desks with comfy chairs. Some with views. Great library to get work done. Solid selection of new books. Lots of staff and security all over. Cool park next door too. All the books I looked at were new!

The main Columbus Metropolitan Library invites authors from around the world and occasionally some infamous authors. We may hear an excerpt from published works and or be invited to hear an up and comping piece from the authors. Nicely designed and structured. The architecture and layout of this main library is well designed and a beautiful building. The exterior of the library resembles a mansion with historic qualities. There is a parking garage located beneath the building. There is a book store and a small bakery on the inside. Nice and friendly staff.

For anything an hour or less, no, 1-2 hours is 50 cents, and then it goes up to a maximum of $10 for 8+ hours. You should also note that there's a lost ticket charge of $10. You can always park on the street as well, or ask a librarian for more info.

Yes. However the procedure is different. I would suggest that you visit CMLs website for the details.
You have to go inside of the grant location. Must have on mask.
Yes, there is a Local History & Genealogy department at the Main branch. It is currently hosting virtual one-on-one appointments. Go to the library's event page to register.

Most locations have a Dropbox door on the side of the building. For instance the Main Library's drop off is on the south side of the building and is drive through accessible. You will have to look for signage indicating where it is, at the location you are using.
There's s loading area on the north side near the front entrance. Seen buses park there before.
