the caving part was genuinely the most fun i've had in a really long time. it was such an amazing and unique experience, especially when shared with friends as a group activity.

Updated Review: ----- My problem was resolved and was due to a technical issue. I must take back my first impressions and say that the customer services are indeed professional and prompt in getting back to you if there are any issues. I do thank them as everything was resolved and I really don't like to give negative reviews. Original Review: ----- Under normal circumstances, I would have given the rockgym a 3* review. Adequate. The staff at the gym were knowledgeable and gave good guidance/advice. Once on the walls you can do some cool stuff like bouldering, caving and traditional climbing. The area is spacious but not too large and some parts the holds are loose and undependable. The big reason for the two star deduction is that my buddy and I were scheduled in and he had to cancel before because he got slightly ill and didn't want to risk anyone there nor I, so I was looking to get a credit or refund. I was directed to contact via email/website to get that situation fixed. No response. No acknowledgement. Nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited a few days, and was truly disappointed in that kind of "professionalism" this business showed. I can't really recommend the place after that, so go at your own peril.

The tall blonde haired gentleman, is the coolest ever. Great experience. My son loved it.

Brought my 5yo to Albany Indoor Rock Gym and it was an excellent experience! The team was knowledgeable and explained processes very patiently to my 5yo. The caves are for the brave. Made it through the caves about ten feet and then used bribes of the fruit popsicles they sell to get out.

Give/take 20 bouldering routes between the 2 rooms and then 3 full perimeter routes per room that are 100' each and traverse across all the walls for one continuous route.
If they're on the walls, yes just take your street shoes off. There are only a few places where people can peak out of the caves for a picture.
