The biscuits and gravy are superb here! Home fries are also a favorite. This is our new favorite brunch spot when visiting black mountain. Friendly service and home style atmosphere.

Grateful for a covered and heated (but not enclosed) outdoor eating area on a quiet Black Mtn street. Excellent service. Food was good prepared with clean ingredients.

So their service model is non-traditional but works! They don't use servers. You place your order and pay, then they deliver to your table. If you need anything you go to the counter. Seemed weird at first but this works very well in practice. The service was great and the food was amazing. We had the biscuits and gravy with mimosas. We had a really good time and enjoyed the whole experience. Definitely shop here if you're in the area!

Food was decent! My crab cake Benedict was sub-par and disappointing. Food came out very quickly. Honestly, service good have been better. I don’t understand counter service to order and making and refilling your own drinks and then asking …Hello Rebekah, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are truly sorry that you were not happy with our crab cake Benedict special. It got rave reviews from many people. If there was something truly wrong with it you should have told us so we could’ve fixed it. The restaurant concept that we have chosen to use is counter service. We are a small establishment and this style allows us to operate more efficiently and with less staff. Counter service is becoming a very popular concept in restaurants. We have never forced anyone to leave a gratuity. It is optional. However, please know that your gratuity is shared amongst our entire staff and greatly appreciated. In case you didn’t see, we are doing a restaurant expansion and in order to get to water pipes the wall in one of our restrooms had to be cut into. There is also a note apologizing for the wall as we are under construction. We appreciate everyone’s patience. Perhaps at some point you will give us another try.

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

Hello! We are trying our hardest to keep everyone safe during these difficult times. All employees and customers must wear a mask while entering the restaurant. Our inside and outside tables are spaced 6 feet apart. We are currently operating at 50% capacity. We sanitize all table number stands, surfaces, and door handles. We also have hand sanitizer on all of the tables. I hope that this helps and that you give us a try!

Yes! We are at 50% capacity so we have 6 tables inside and 6 outside

Hi Thomas! Unfortunately with everything going on we had to change our days and hours of operation. We are hoping in time to be open 7 days a week again. For now it is Thurs through Sun 8-1. Hope to see you!
