The cruddiest thing you can do to a person trying to pay their bill over the phone is make them wait, and then hang up. Very unprofessional your automated system needs an update.

This place is a monopoly charging through the roof for natural gas. It is going to cost me 90$ a month just to give my daughter a warm bath every other night. I hope the ceo of this place gets in a car crash.

Terrible company and website. My bill has gone from my usual 40-50 dollar monthly bill and has skyrocketed to 170+ a month. Called customer service to see what was going on and they were extremely unhelpful. They said my usage has actually gone down compared to my 2021 year. They didn’t give any explanation to why my bull was so high. Can’t even load to website to pay my bills. I knew this was a terrible company to begin with but I have no other option is my area. I shouldn’t be paying this much a for a 1 person place when I haven’t changed anything in my day to day life.

The easiest way to schedule a transfer of residential service 24-hours a day is at our website at www.blackhillsenergy.com/app-startstop. So if you are smelling gas at all, please evacuate the building or area and call our emergency line immediately at 800-694-8989. If you are not sure how your pilot light was extinguished, we surely want to get a technician to your home to verify our service is operating as expected at the meter. There is no charge for this type of trip to verify safe operation of your service. If the appliance is the cause of the problem, or if self-extinguished - we do charge hourly rates to work on the appliance or light a self-extinguished pilot light.
