It's hard to get excited about going to a place that requires you to fork over the long green in property tax and vehicle registration, but the treasurer's office has improved their technology to speed up the process. The clerks are about as excited as lukewarm oatmeal.

Staff should not be allowed to bring politics into the workplace. Some times customers just want to conduct business and not hear anyone's political opinions while doing so. Interesting enough the cashier says "I just got in trouble for complaining to my boss about my political views" you would think she got the point having already been reprimanded..

The staff here are very helpful and serve visitors in a punctual way. Make sure to book an appointment online if you are coming for a title registration/ renewal and anything related to refunds.

Yes.
That answer about forms of identification is for driver's license not this location at 1100 Massachusetts st. This location does license plates not driver's licenses
This office does not process drivers license. The DMV in North Lawrence does. They are on North 2nd st.
That's completely dependent on the property value of the vehicle.
You do not need to call before you come in. You can get in line at https://login.nowaitinside.com/booking/bo7zCXjORXIJnR2gxJkcwuky
It all depends on his estate. If his estate (personal property, not real estate) is worth less than $40k, then you'll just need his death certificate and the titles. If it's worth more, you'll have to go thru probate first. I'm so sorry for your lost. I hope this does help you.
What do I need to bring to renew my tags
Yes
Proof of insurance. If the car is registered out of state, you need inspection at state tripped office in North Lawrence...a few doors down from DMV. And document showing thatshe is the owner of the car.
All title documents, invoice or bill of sale, they will need a Kansas highway patrol inspection, and proof of insurance.
Yes
Gotta go to DMV, report it lost, and they charge you handsomely to get a new one
